First play today:

Detroit Tigers (-115) $57.50/$50.00

A couple of hot pitchers going in Pittsburgh tonight. Burnett has just been outstanding since coming back this season, and Fister has been good when he's actually not been on the shelf. The bottom line here is that Burnett is gonna have to bring his "A game" to win tonight, because the Bucs aren't going to be scoring a bunch of runs on Fister (they really don't score a bunch of runs on anyone)...the Tigers room for error is so much larger in this game than the Pirates. Fister can give up a few runs here and there and the Tigers have a shot to win. If Burnett has a frame where he gives up 3 or 4 to this good Detroit line-up it could be lights out. I know a lot of people like the Pirates here, but I'm JUMPING on Detroit.

KC Royals (-115) $57.50/$50.00

Too many different ways for the Royals to grab a win tonight. We could see good Vin Mizzaro like we did last time in St. Louis. We could see bad from the youngster Joe Kelly. We most certainly will see St. Louis have to tap into their bullpen early, which with the Cardinals is always a GREAT thing, since I don't think they have a non-gascan down there. I just see the Royals continuing to play good baseball tonight, and with Lance Lynn and Wainright coming at them in the final two games of this series, this one would be the one to get.

Philadelphia Phillies (-140) $70.00/$50.00

Can't hold grudges in this biz. Phillies laid an egg for me last night after I fired two barrels with them. I'll hop back aboard tonight. Lee vs. a team that doesn't hit LHP well, he should be able to go deep into the game which should negate the awful Phillie pen. I really have a feeling that Lee is going to pitch well tonight. Hopefully the Phillies can score a few.

Texas Rangers TT O 5.5 (-135) $67.50/$50.00

Ranger bats should be rejuvenated getting back to their home park. I don't see much of a way Friedrich is gonna be able to hold Texas down. Even if he pitches well, he's still gonna give up something like 4 runs in 6 innings. I see that as BEST case scenario for him. His control wanes as games go on. If you walk guys in this Texas order...it's lights out. I'm also going assume that we aren't going to see great Roy Oswalt yet. Hopefully Oswalt gives up a few in the 4 or 5 innings he'll work tonight, and put some pressure on the Texas bats.

BURNETT has not allowed more than 2 runs at home all season and ERA at home is LESS than 2 ! ... Howeveer, similar situation to the A's game the other night with milline on the mound vs. the dodgers and there stud. BUT BUT BUT A's were favored -130!!!! The fact that this line is like a " pick em" ?!?!!?!? Pirates one of the best HOME teams in baseball with their ace pretty much on the mound and they are -106 !?
