I said it in a post earlier in the year...if there was a contract that paid out on a save vs blown save ratio, say 1 million per save and 1.5 million surrendered per blown save...this guy would be homeless at seasons end

top 5 funniest things i've ever seen on this site, if i owned a sportsbook, i would offer this line, promote the hell out of it, people would love it.  how about some props, will Eric Gagne Blow a save?  yes -300 no +250.  Will Eric Gagne give up a homerun?  -500, will he give up a walkoff homerun -300.

that would be fun to add those to some parlays....

So funny how people are bashing Gagné .... I know he might not be the savers he used to be and still holding a Majors record (not sure about that) but some people are just mad against him because he's from Canada... this guy, even with blow 7-8 blown saves this year got more saves than almost any closers still playing. He just need to get back to what he use to do. Throwing strikes and not getting hit. I personally don't care what people think, but Gagné is still a good closer he just need to believe more in himself and obviously more in his defense.

totally agree bad... he's not the closers he used to be. But I think he still have a lot of potential don't you think? Way more than some nameless closers in other teams

anyway I just find it interesting that so many people are bashing Gagné so early and will be kissing his ass if he get back to what it use to be. Basically what I am saying is that people give comments/opinions on players based on their bets. So no matter how a player is good or bad when someone is losing the comment will always be negative.

But I don't play him anymore.  He's found a spot on the bench.
