Dumb of you to place a wager on A's as of right now, The market has showed no respect to them in this series jacking up their prices 25+ cent in game 1 and 40+ cent yesterday, and you think it's gonna stop with Mazzaroo on the mound? They will be available at at least +140, yet you settle with +120.
you can tell so mech about a persons character just by how they comment on post. Why can't you just offer advice? Why does it have to be dumb of him? And why should the price continue to rise anyhow? Dumb to me would be to think people are gonna be laying may than 130 on a pitcher sporting a 6.70 era. Just my opinion.

you can tell more by the capper who lets it get to them and then makes up lines. oakland has never come CLOSE to reaching +140, let alone +145. and clearly he didn't get florida at -155 either. kirby is supposed to be the lovable loser who doesn't really know what he's talking about, but writes entertaining writeups - i think it got to him

Any thoughts on Texas/Cleveland? I am seeing a TON of Rangers love, and I am not sure why.
Why does Texas have to win tonight? Cleveland has played well, and from what I have read Carmona feels a lot better mentally and has had 2 good outings. Cleveland is playing lose and with confidence right now, and Texas may still be "coming down" from their series with the Angels.
Hunter has pitched well, but I just don't see Texas as a "lock" tonight.

In response to that question I'll do another write up.

The Alamo Moves to Cleveland Ohio, For Tonight At Least.
Texas @ Cleveland The Pick: Texas
Thats right I changed my mind from the list posted previous and here are some reasons why. The Texas Rangers aren't accustomed to being shut down by Cleveland Indians pitching, particularly when facing Fausto Carmona. They know how to deal with Fausto, and they are prepared to do what it takes to not allow Boston to run away with the lead for the Wild Card race. Texas traditionally this year has been pretty terrible with crap teams, and have done great against opponents that are a little more balanced (i.e. LA Angels) I would say that If push comes to shove Texas's pitching will be another outstanding performance by Tommy Hunter, despite his record. The Rangers have had little trouble scoring runs against the Indians over the last two seasons. They averaged 9.6 runs in winning their first three games with Cleveland this year and 8.3 over the past 10. Match ups with Carmona (2-6, 6.66 ERA) have helped Texas' cause. Carmona has lost all three of his home starts against the Rangers, posting an 8.59 ERA, and is 2-4 with a 5.35 ERA in six starts overall versus Texas.Carmona, though, has a 2.45 ERA in two starts since being recalled from the minors. He went 1-2 with an 11.57 ERA in his previous five outings. Tommy Hunter (4-2, 2.63) on the other hand, who has yielded three runs or fewer in seven of his eight starts. He earned a win in his last outing, allowing three runs in seven innings to beat Oakland 6-4 on Thursday night Opponents are hitting .146 against Hunter with runners in scoring position, and he's given up one hit in 19 at-bats with runners in scoring position and two outs. Those are pretty impressive stats, especially for a kid ar 23, but he says he has the confidence to maintain change-ups and pitch around people. Look for Hunter and the Rangers to shoot it out in Cleveland, and take this with a W.
