I&#x27;m a Braves and I hope Sushi lose his 10th of the year so I can see what the Braves is going to do with him.

He has an ERA of 3.00 in his last 6 starts. He's pitching better. Davies' ERA is 10.38 in his last 4 starts. He's not pitching well.

Bullpen advantage goes to the Braves although the Royals' pen has given up just 4 runs in their last 7 games.

The Braves' 23-7 home record is impressive.

Just some food for thought.

&#xD;&#xA;Nothing they can do. Resop would be the one to replace him and he hit the DL as soon as they called him up. Kawakami will be in that rotation until Jurrjens comes back (which isn&#x27;t too far away).

Kyle Davies is an Atlanta native and pitched with the Braves for his 1st 3 seasons. I&#x27;m guessing this will be his 1st "coming home" start. Could be a motivational tool. His 2 daytime starts this year have been his best of the season. KC&#x27;s offense continues to be better than advertised, although they don&#x27;t always get the clutch hits when they need them.

Never underestimate how bad my Royals can be. This is the same team that hasn&#x27;t made the playoffs for 20&#x2B; years and in that time span the best they finished in their division was third. If the guy is 0-9, he&#x27;ll find a way to be 1-9 against the Royals. Plus, it&#x27;s a road game for KC, where we really stink.

Davies is boom or bust......and a lot more bust than boom. Kawakami isn&#x27;t really too bad.....hasn&#x27;t got a ton of support if memory serves. KC bats are OK and as somebody mentioned the bullpen has been much better for really the last month or so....that said the Braves are the better team with the better pitcher going tomorrow....line doesn&#x27;t seem that off to me. But maybe that&#x27;s just my pessimistic KC feelings coming out.

This game is a no-play for me. I agree with an earlier post that pointed out that Kawakami has been better this year than the record would suggest. But I can't lay -180 on him. I also don't have the confidence in Davies and the Royals to beat the Braves. When I bet a big dog, I try to focus on at least one positive for that underdog, such as starter that I can reasonably handicap to deliver a good outing. So, in this case, from my point of view, the Braves are likely to win, but I can't risk that big line, and the Royals can't provide me any reason to take them either . . . no play.
