Gun to my head though, I have to lean Dodgers. Even with the injuries to the rotation, they're the more complete team. Keep in mind that the best team didn't win last year. In fact, the two best teams were not in the 2023 World Series at all. It's a flawed system in that regard. Although, I do believe that this year the two best are representing and I have LA at the top. That's my series lean. Cheers Barney and BOL
Totally agree. Not exactly sure what causes that. The NYY though, have an ever so slightly hidden, emotional, gelling - that those underdog NCAA hoops tourney schools have that many times pull an upset or almost win vs a school ranked 5+ spots higher.

In the case of NYY it's more of a grit and/or hunger, not really a cinderella big underdog Davey vs Golliath thing.
I dont see much of that with the LAD.
I hope we get at least one pitchers duel and not many blast around lead change slugfests.

Alex Vesia will have be limited if he does go, maybe one or two batters. I could see Boone playing some late inning chess game with some left pinch hitters. Reports say he threw a dozen pitches on Wednesday but if he isnt 100% it will affect stuff like his release and maybe mechanics. Something to look for as the series goes on
