Huge Yankee fan here.  I don't feel he should be embarrassed. Nobody else is performing. Arod hasn't been the same player for a couple years now. Not just the playoffs. He's not been my fav Yankee and he can rub people the wrong way but he hasn't really done anything wrong over the years . He's been a good guy and puts in the effort. Whole lineup has been awful

Yep, the yankees have become an old team, and I think you're going to see more and more slumps and injuries with a team whose average age has to be in the thirties.

They can buy the best, but they're signing them to multi-year deals and not finding many diamonds in the rough in new young players.

Time for a new strategy IMHO.
