F5 – Nationals +192 Sheehan/Mikolas
Dodgers on the road for the first time today. Sheehan is no higher probability than Mikolas and the Nats are hitting the ball very well to start the season. It may not last but we have to catch a hot hitting team at +192, and the Nats easily qualify. Public perception of both teams has more to do with this line than any real or perceived value. The FG line is also based on probable bullpen influence, and that effects the F5 line, but it really shouldn’t.
F5 - RL – Rangers -115 Singer/Gore
Another example of hot vs. not. The Rangers check in at 3-0 versus righty and are smacking the ball all over the park. Reds are having their troubles with lefty. The FG line is high as it should be, but F5 is much fairer. Lay it.
