I’m hoping the Rockies come through for me tonight—just like Mel Kiper Jr. was hoping someone would draft Shedeur Sanders in the first round. Hahah 

I’m on the Rockies +125, +1.5 -130, and -1.5 +230. 

They’re not gonna lose every series opener this season, are they? Perfect 0-8 so far needs to become 1-8.

I like to do the alt 1 1/2 line for away team wagers, and -1 for home team bets.   I don't like getting 11% fewer chances to cover 1 1/2 runs or rooting for that elusive multi run dinger in extra innings with home teams.  That's just the way I've always played it.  I have never gotten a clear consensus from my fellow brethren regarding this strategy.   Best of luck to all you crazy ROX backers today.

My baseball handicapping style is like jamming a square peg into a round hole. Always chasing some contrarian edge, and it’s miserable. Honestly, I’d probably do better just betting big favorites blindly.

The washed up Ryan McMahon bobbled the chopper hit by De La Cruz and that gave the Reds the extra out they needed to get Spencer Steer to the plate to smack Freeland’s full count soft toss into the left field stands.

 

Light-hitting catcher Jacob Stallings with a pathetic at-bat. Abbott got him to swing and miss at three pitches out of the strike zone. Abbott’s been having control issues but Stallings is untalented.

And then Abbott again walks the bases loaded, and this time he paid a price as Michael Toglia hits a ground rule double to tie things up.

The minor leaguer batting in the #8 spot strikes out and the Rockies leave two more in scoring position.

 

Abbott’s numbers were garbage last year, and this year he faces Pittsburgh and Baltimore and now he’s suddenly a Cy Young candidate. I stand lets — bring it in.

You think it’s easy rooting for the Rockies? Someone named Sean Bouchard just missed a routine fly ball in right field. Then the useless Ryan McMahon failed to catch a popup…….I’n not sure why. He was standing under it and then it……just dropped in foul territory.
