If there is ANYONE with the insecurities, it is the MAN who poses like a woman. But as I suspected, you are to much of a wussy to answer any big questions. It's okay. We all know the truth. Take care. Adios. Oh and BTW, when I say Adios, I mean it. I don't come back in the thread 2 minutes later to say some other smart ass remark. Maybe you should try keeping your word for once in your god-forsaken life
@sciegel89: Sorry for your deficits.

I find it extremely ironic on the day that I have the worst day of wagering I have ever endured that you post a thread on the same topic.
I lost a great deal today. About $5k to be exact and the feeling is not good. I am sweaty, pissed off, I wanted to throw my remote at my screen several times.
After losing a couple early 3 unit wagers I decided to turn 4 - 3 unit wagers into 10 unit wagers. All of them lost.
I have had bad days before but this doubles my worst losing day ever.
At least half the money I lost today I had won in the previous 7 days.
Hopefully the cubs and white sox can hold on to win me back 6 units.
If I lose I will end up taking a few days off then depositing more money.

@DA_BOYS
I'm pulling for you. I'll keep an eye on those games.
I also have Cubs, and Marmol just blew the save. :(

Wow was I cursing at Ramirez for watching 2 80mph pitches down the middle of the plate only to have him hit a single on the next pitch and win the game.

Back to topic, when I lose I curse at the TV, sometimes punch a wall, but not hard enough to break my hand like my buddy did in college when his girlfriend dumped him. Then I look at my kids and realize now matter how unlucky I am in baseball (like 1-10 in my last 10 wagers after hitting the Reds and Twins early, great timing for the thread) I am still a very lucky man.(corny I know)

I wrote a thread a little while ago dealing with the same topic. Almost every top capper here on covers, went in the shitter today, big time. Shit happens, and you're right, it's all about money management. I'm new at betting MLB, but I'm learning fast. Don't chase. Don't fool with run lines, they are the worst bets. Put yesterday in the past, and focus on tomorrow.

Put yesterday in the past, but understand the mistakes you made or you're doomed to repeat them.

I had a losing day today. Could have been much worse if the Marlins didn't win. Either way though. Its nice not to lose as much as I could have, but if I did it still wouldn't really bother me. My biggest thing is I tend not to watch the games that I bet on. I'll watch a different game if possible or I'll just watch the line scores on sportsline to see what is happening. I found for myself that watching games I bet on to be detrimental to me cause I will knitpick at all kinds of shit. There are times I still do but I try to keep myself in check. I realize that once I make a bet, that whatever happens is out of my control. As long as I feel I made a good play, I can deal with it winning or losing. I still go on tilt every now and again, but its very rare., The last time was during March Madness when I had UCLA +7 I think and Florida went a run in the last minute of the game to cover. Drove me nuts watching that crap. Granted my tilt led me to overbet 2 games later that day and win. One was San Diego St against Temple and that wasn't won till the last few seconds in ot. Sweated like crazy during that game and never should of had a winner, but sometimes it works out. Made me realize though that betting that chase money is never a good thing.

Tilt is something only gamblers understand. Everyone's felt it whether they want to admit it or not.

Meaning no disrespect, I find your response to my post a wee bit goofy. You tell me to understand the mistakes I made so I won't be doomed to repeat them. What in hell does that mean? I saw a post on June 28th, where you said you were 0 for 3 in the T bay, Houston series. What lesson did you not learn after the first lost. Giving silly advice like that is of no true value.

I follow NBA, rugby league, cricket and Australian Basketball as i am from Australia.
Without doubt, baseball is the game that has the most luck attached to it.
That is why you never get the same juice in MLB as you do in other sports. Bookmakers dont want to be subject and exposed to the level of luck involved in baseball. There is luck obviously involved in other sports, but no where near the level in baseball.....

Here's an example: I didn't research day and night splits on Tim Lincecum, for instance. I bet Tim Lincecum during the day on high odds and he lost. I learned that betting Lincecum in the day isn't a wise proposition unless it's within reasonable odds.
So, I didn't know Tim was poor in the day games, and I won't forget that moving forward. It doesn't mean fade Tim, but it means proceed with caution.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Does the fact that MLB has the longest season play any part in your comparison with other sports?
