to differentiate between + and - numbers on the money line, i assign the win % (needed to break even) of ML rounded to 3 decimal points, all -ML are going to be between .500 and .999 while all +ML will be between .001 and .500, that's easy in excel, then i just insert a "lookup" function on my main page. this allows be to quantify all ML's without crossing zero. i use this mainly to show me my average bet price, but the formula is simple and could be used anywhere.
the fomrula for determining the break even point is . . .
enter all ML's as a raw number with no "plus" or "minus"
for -ML's ML/ML+100 = break even pct.
for +ML's 100/ML+100 = break even pct.
