GiLmo, I think the Jays game was played with the roof open last night. But at any rate, Drabek has made some adjustments and they are paying dividends, Hochevar is nothing special, and though the Royals are 'due' I don't think they get it done here against a potent Jays offence.
Also wondering about the Giants pick. Niese has been lights-out and his velocity is really up this season. He also is motivated to live up to that big contract extension he got. Wright and Bay should have a field day against the Zit. I think the lefties can hit him too as he won't be able to get inside with that mid-80s heater. Actually loving the Mets here coming off 2 bad losses in Hotlanta, but with the bullpen flailing a bit I am considering a 5 inn. play.

I like where your heads at - I was a big, big Johnny Niese guy last year. He was one of my favorite's last year - hit him alot during the 1st half, but after the all-star break he fell back to earth.
I like the Giants as a +DOG on the road - Zito has looked good. Niese, actually, has looked better. But what Mets are going to show up? I'm more confident in the scrappy Giants then the Mets who seem to rarely live up to being a favorite @ their home field of Citi Field.
I also added a play on the *OVER* - I've been waiting for my book to get @ +100 because alot of other shops out there have the OVER @ Even Money. Mine finally followed direction. I believe it's very possible for Zito & Niese to get a high pitch count throughout the 1st 5 and bullpens will be a factor later in the game.
6-5, 5-4 game is very doable.
Great stuff, rangersmets.

Now by "scrappy" is that I mean as a Road +DOG - I like all NL West teams as Road +DOGS.

It's the new kid, 24 year old Kyle Drabek wave I'll be riding and a Luke Hochevar fade of not being the type to follow-up a bad start with a quality start.
Odds of Royals going 0-7 @ home to start the season? Sounds slim - but looking slim? I wouldn't say so. Not today, anyways.
Nobody thought Drabek was going to beat Boston in his 1st start this year - he only went. 5.1 innings, but allowed only 1 earned. His next start, against those pesky Orioles, most thought the kid Drabek was going to get shelled, but that didn't happen - 7 innings pitched, and only allowed 1 earned.
I do like the Blue Jays getting out on the road, and away from the Rogers Centre. Their bats haven't had that sort of pop they are fully capable of having - they've been in doors their last 9 games.
Expecting/Hoping for a big day from the Bluebirds today.
I gotta say..not alot of people know about kyle drabek..your knowledge is impressive..He came up a little to early last year but I feel the same way you do..I like him alot he should win aginst an kc...hochver pitched good his first game then been shelled ever since..and was shelled alot last year as well..
