Giants vs Dodgers, 4/3/24

I realize I'm not going out on a limb with this pick tonight. However, when I see an advantage this large, I'll take it every time. I'm getting the 2nd best team in baseball (I have the Braves at #1) with their Ace and Cy Young contender on the mound for a relatively cheap price at -1 (-165). For the record, I won't ever lay -1.5 on home teams. I don't like the possibility of losing the ninth inning if the lead is 1 after 8.5. I'm much more comfortable laying -1 and pushing in that scenario.

With that said, I'm not really anticipating a close game. Kyle Harrison is gonna be a good pitcher in this league. However, he's still just 22 years old and hasn't solved his control issues. Pitching against the Dodgers lineup on the road certainly isn't going to help calm his nerves. The Dodgers have scored 5 or more runs in every game this season. On the flip side, Glasnow has only given up 3 ERs in the two games (11 innings) that he's pitched in. I expect both trends to continue. The Dodgers also bring in a significantly stronger bullpen, one that ranked 6th coming into the season. The Giants bullpen is average at best.

The Dodgers are just too good and I don't see them losing to a rookie from their biggest rival. LA for the sweep.

Dodgers -1 (-165) for one unit. You can call me a square tonight, I'm okay with that

Ha - I'm okay with that. Taking the Dodgers with Glasnow on the mound is as square as you can get. BOL with the first 5. I don't usually play first 5's, but this one looks good and also very square.

Dodgers are a money printing machine....

That line up is awfully good and Mookie and I could be friends if I was accepting friend requests at this time
