I have some very shocking results that can be exploited to help you bet when a LEFTHANDED starter begins a game....

Worst Team Records vs a Left Handed Starter - since March:

Colorado     1 - 19 

Pirates        3 - 8

Cleveland    5 - 12

Orioles        6 - 11

Cincy          7 - 14

Dodgers      7 - 11

Nationals     8 - 12

Arizona       8 - 11

And there are another 7 teams BELOW .500 record in addition to these 

Who are the best vs LEFTHANDED STARTERS?

Detroit          13 - 3

Yankees        10 - 6

Houston         6 - 2

Brewers        12 - 9 

NY Mets        10 - 7

Tampa          11 - 9

K.C.               7 - 5

Twins             6 - 4

Now remember....these numbers even include if an opponent started a LEFTY who went only 1 inning ..... it doesn't matter in my data charts!

USE IT! 

You want to hear how dumb the Orioles manager might be?

He went from starting a rightie to a leftie now vs Detroit who is 13 - 3 vs lefthanded starters 

Also, the pitcher for the Orioles will be Keegan Akin who has been hit hard by the Tigers in the past for a .333 lifetime avg vs him

On a bit of a run with my DOUBLE UPs.... parlay did not work but I did get the UNDER on parlays with Detroit and lost the Detroit - Colorado combos....

Today: DOUBLE UP PLAY #1 - DETROIT -1.5 @+90  

We are gonna pick on some weak teams vs lefthanders and some good streak matchups... back to the drawing board later tonight

 Dodgers and Astros stand out. Otherwise this is a list of crappy teams and then better teams  no surprise there

Not sure you understand....

I don't make my streak lists...they make themselves on results. If you are referring to my top teams, THEN I am watching a lot of baseball and how teams do vs other strong teams and that is your measuring stick, as well as other stats and timely hitting like the Dodgers and Tigers

Concerning  the Astros, I have them in my Top 8 or 9 positions. They are lacking offensive zip vs the top teams who can roll 7-8 hitters through 9 on their roster putting pressure on pitchers.  I have charted EVERY game and have a pretty good handle but the real season starts in July ....lets see what happens.

Houston good scalps:

2 x vs Mets

0/3 vs Giants 

2x vs Padres

3x vs Blue Jays when they were in a funk....

2x vs Detroit

NO YANKEES, DODGERS scalps....but after looking at this... I might put them dead even with the Jays or Padres for 6-7-8th best 

Jays > 0/3 vs Mets , 3 of 4 Boston, 1 of 4 Yankees, 2 of 3  Boston, 1 of 3 Detroit, sweep of Padres, 2 of 3 Phillies, 2 0f 3 Twins, 

I would be fine with:

Dodgers

Tigers

Cubs

Jays or Houston

Jays or Houston

Padres

Twins, Brewers or Phillies

TOP DIVISION is AL EAST or NL WEST ...so when assigning quality wins and minimizing loss effects with these teams ...you get the idea of who is pressing the peanut..... I think NL EAST and AL Central are next in strength ...take your pick how you position them. Houston is in a weaker division and have one less win than the Jays who have had a strong schedule and plenty of road games

I don't ever look at ESPN or other rating lists....I use the eye and stat test to form my opinions:

Here is what the recent ESPN power list was: (and record vs each other)

1. Detroit     (16 - 11 )  > LEGIT!

2. Mets        (20 - 12 ) > LEGIT!! Maybe best combo of hitting, defense, pitching?

3. Yankees     (13 - 12) > like the Dodgers, bullying teams 

4. Dodgers    (15 - 14 ) > also another tough schedule

5. Cubs        (12 - 16) > they can pound the ball but pitching is wavering > over rated?

6. Phillies    (14 - 14) > legit but faltering lately means I move them down

7. Giants    (11 - 15)  > don't know if they deserve this rank?

8. Padres   (11 - 19) > hardest schedule so far so I think they are even or one tick below Houston/Jays maybe

9. Houston   (15 - 13) > ok legit and probably higher than some below this rank

10. Tampa  (17 - 11) << it appears I am not giving them enough respect!!

11. Twins     (9 - 12) > recently dropped a series at home to Blue Jays

12. St. Louis  (12 - 13) > got swept by Jays so drop below them

13. Jays   (13 - 17) vs the teams above them

Games I like....

-Strong lean to Detroit with decent lefty on the mound/Under

-Boston -Yankees Over and Boston lean - each  game in NY had over 12 runs per  (Thanks CIRCA for pointing out lefty pitchers!) but neither team on a losing streak vs

- RAYS/Mets > expect a greasy game that is low scoring with the style of teams they have and good bullpens/wind blowing in

PLAY #1 - UNDER 8.5 @+76 x HALF U 

- Under in Texas ...they were scorching the ball on the road but not typical in their own park and Houser is pitching really well so I lean +1.5 for CWS

-wind blowing in and strong lean to UNDER with Wacha very low era at home and Severino micro low on the road

PLAY #2 -  Brewers  - 1.5 x HALF U  +135 .... they hit  FEDDE for a .400 BA in 100 ABs 

I don't love anything tonight..... lean Dodgers too and OVER late....they hit Webb for a .328 BA lifetime!!

Sanchez has been dynamite vs Jays and Francis for Toronto will be a pitcher to watch for in the next year or two....he is a freak of a man but pounds the ball into the zone too many times for major leaguers to pick up his patterns and tattoo some of his high pitchers down the heart of the plate ..... he is the ONLY weak link in the Jays lineup and this game might spell his doom to the minors  > hence the UNDER play with cold Jays bats lately

Phillies -1.5 x +130 x HALF U is good value also

I hit a PICK5 last night at Mohawk for $687 costing me $48 so I am a bit betting frisky today. Wife and I are heading up to the track which is 40 minute drive away.... PEPSI NORTH AMERICAN CUP with $1 million on the line for the best 3 yr old standardbred horse (buggy racing) and there are over $2.5 million in purses handed out ....all the best Grand Circuit horses and drivers - trainers out tonight. The  mrs and I are going to have a nice meal and take it all in.....beautiful night tonight and lots of friends around that I grew up with in the industry ....some drivers and trainers 

3 yrs ago tonight, my ole card playing buddy Trevor Henry drove the $1 million winner in that race and our hometown 1 hour away shutdown for a mega party as the horse was trained and raised locally....that was an epic time that I could not get to because the town shut the roads around the area  Trevor has a steer in the race I think again? I am about to cap the card.

Is 9 runs too many? Should the Padres break out of their losing streak and Zona out of their 4 game win streak? GREAT CONTRARIAN PLAY but I like the UNDER 9 even more.....
