Gentlemen,
The New York Mets are for real this year. I fully believe that they go on to win the wild card this year, and tomorrow is no different.
While Dickey was shelled for 5 runs in his last outing against the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, frankly, are terrible. Every player in the starting line-up of the Yankees is capable of going yard on every pitch. That's what they pay for, that's what they get. The Dodgers, on the other hand, couldn't hit a beach ball with a tennis racket.
The Mets bats are hot as well. Taking the Cubs for 17 runs isn't exactly something you put on a resume, but it's certainly something to recognize. Ike Davis is back. Big time. Dickey can lay down a bunt like no other. He's not an automatic out every time he comes to the plate.
I hate the fact that the Mets are only -135 tomorrow because it always makes me feel like I'm missing something, but I refuse to wait until tomorrow when the lines shift to 155-160.
Mets ML -135 ... Putting a truck on it.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow, but that is my one and only play.
