Since the ASB, the First Half Totals of 4 or under have hit less than 15%!!! No, I am NOT making that up I just heard it on VSin after Skenes once again went over the FH total. This does NOT mean that the FG then subsequently also goes OVER, but it's something I have witnessed myself and just thought I'd share with others. Personally I'm going to try and sniff some of these out and see if that actually holds true because that also means 85% of FH Totals with the total set at 4 or below hit!!!
Hoping that game didnt' cost any one money and that everyone is having a profitable day

Lots of 5s on the board tonight, wonder if your strategy of waiting a bit into the first inning may work on the fringe. Scoring seems to be up second half of the season so far to me.

Some of these pitchers have gone in the tank a bit. Or they overachieved and are due for a light adjustment to their norm. Maybe their arms are worn out or whatever.

More great stuff LA. A couple of times I have threaded he needle, going NRFI on 3.5 - 4 first five ttls and then playing 1H over. Not recommended but entertaining nonetheless!
A few textbook set-ups for NRFIs today btw... HOU v DET, OAK v MIN, SEA v PHI, and MIL v CHC game 1. Each fits your mold being at 3.5 - 4 first half except the Phillies at 4.5. This oughta be fun!

What are you saying here? “Since the ASB, the First Half Totals of 4 or under have hit less than 15%!!!” Are you stating that since the ASB, 1st 5 posted totals of 4 or less have “hit” OVER or UNDER less than 15% of those games? AS
I read it as 85% of the time first five ttls set at 4 or below go over but I can see where it might be a smidge confusing.

@Cranky_Hank So, if the First Five posted total is 4 runs or less, the UNDER HITS AT LESS THAN 15% is how you’re interpreting this stat from VSIN?
Yes, depends what lens you look at it from. Meaning, FH OVERS are hitting at 85% + (you can add that SF/SD last night to it)
@Cranky_Hank It's scary until you just blindly start playing it b/c they all seem like they will completely go under until they don't. Like how can I play the FH under with brown and Skubal facing off BUT the Tigers have been hitting so maybe they get some early runs. Just saying, it's never going to look that attractive until you see the actual results.
In todays game with errors and other such things dont' forget the FH total is for FIVE innings, bar none. The second half in many cases has one less half inning just to get through 9 (meaning 4 innings). So %'s also on our side

Wish you well… I’ll be playing along on paper. Let’s see some runs!

And 2 early on!!! Unreal how much these OVERS are being disregarded and how often they are hitting. I saw the NRFI was -185 and the take back was +135 so I jumped on YES!!! Bang, winner again!
It's not just how good Boyd is but it's also about how inept Patrick is when assessing these games. Nightcap very similar, you don't know that Taillon won't give up 3-4 early runs himself, he's a bit of a wildcard.
This has I NO way won or come close to doing so but this game should see a LOT of runs. Who cares about wind when these teams are two of the best hitting in the gaps

Eaaaaaasy guys. I keep saying this and people keep smashing UNDERS. Almost comically.
Since I've posted that trend is 2 for 2. It won't hold every game but MLB is intentionally trying to pump scoring for viewership. I wrote this in the past and was clowned by some rookie for stating that. I can promise you runs will not stop not this year nor next but the lines will adjust. For now, they have yet to do so.
MIL/CHC FH OVER 3.5 WINNER !
