And why on earth did they call up Robertson with Nady on the DL instead of Tomko or another long man. I mean because they didn't have a long man to start the season they lost Giese to the A's and that blows.

JPERO....No doubt Nick the Stick would be a stud if he could stay healthy....But he missed 170 games in just those 3 years that you are talking about...That is not even counting 2007 when he got hurt

Lets see...the guys I listed before, Jeter, A-Rod, Cano, Damon, Tex. play more than that many games in 2 seasons as opposed to 3 and what about 2007? Oh yea...he was hurt. He's not worth the risk.

Wang is the only starter really underperforming. Sabathia did give up 5 walks and 5 hits today but only 1 run. Their bullpen is a mess because nobody is secure except for Mariano. He's the closer. Aside from him, Girardi has not made a 7th or 8th inning pitcher. Bruney deserves the 8th inning spot but isn't given it, and Girardi tried to mix and match waaaaaaaay too much. His lefty v lefty matchups aren't working and he's taking out good pitchers when they shouldn't be. Coke is a good reliever for the most part and he only pitched to 1 batter and got him out. And the only reason he was in was because Ramirez faced 1 batter and gave up a hit. Thats not the answer. You can't put pitchers in there for 1 batter at a time especially with no long relief man. What if you get into extras? They would be fucked. He's not managing properly. Duncan would be better at 3rd base than Ransom. With the bat anyway.

I have to disagree...the reason they didn't get some players is because they didn't want to give up young players. They didn't want to give up Austin Jackson, Ian Kennedy, Phil Hughes, Melky Cabrera etc. They could have had Johan Santana. Imagine a rotation of Santana, Sabathia, Burnett, Wang(when healthy), and Pettitte with Joba going back to the 8th inning role. Thats sick.
