You would have Soriano and money that you gave to Arod
Maybe not...because when they traded for A-Rod, he basically had no choice but to come. But if he were a free agent, maybe he would have chose the Red Sox over the Yankees. You never know what could have been.
I know, with the recent bullpen struggles, that I now know that Joba should be in the bullpen and there is no way Girardi could fuck that up. I say Bruney is a great 8th inning guy but he still hasn't decided who the 8th inning guy is and it may be early in the season but you have to have that figured out by now. If he would just decide who goes where, he'll be set. I say call up Hughes, if affective move Joba back to the bullpen, and have Bruney 7th, Joba 8th and Mo 9th and you can't lose. And Nady goes on the DL and they call up another pitcher in Dave Roberston who is pretty good but when he's bad he's really bad, hence his 7+ ERA last season. I still believe they have a good bullpen but I think it has to be made known who gets what innings to pitch instead of making every inning open for anybody.

I'd rather have Jeter managing this team right now. Or let Jeter, Posada, Mariano, and Pettitte...the original Yankees, manage the team. They know better than anybody else who could do it.

Nick Johnson? Seriously? His best season was with the Yankees. he gets injured waaaaaaay too often and when he does get injured, they are BIG injuries. Shattered leg etc. Lilly was traded early in his career to the Yankees so he wasn't brought up in the farm system but he's an average pitcher. Looking at the stats he was 5-6 with the Yanks in 2001 and 3-6 for the 16 starts he was there before being traded to Oakland in 2002. His best seasons have been with the Cubs 6 years later. Juan Rivera is good, but Damon and Abreu were more productive then he was. Sheffield is another story. Brown's last season with with the Yanks. Rangers, Orioles, Marlins, Padres, Dodgers and the Yankees where he blew. And even if Tony Armas Jr was the centerpiece of a trade for Pedro...I don't remember the Yankees being interested in acquiring Pedro anyway.

Well thats why I pile up after the game at the carts off the Stadium property. $2 for a dog and $3 for a sausage. As opposed to $4.50 and $7.50 I believe. Probably more now. I can deal without eating during a game, but I won't be able to deal without a bounce back performance.

Well he's not better than Teixeira defensively, and the only reason that he has a better OPS than most Yankees is because he doesn't play as much. If he played 150 games a season, no way would he have that number. Jeter, Damon, A-Rod, Cano, Tex, all play over 150 games in a season. I'd be surprised if Nick gets into mid July without a big time injury.

Jpero I disagree here.......There is no way that anybody wants a player like Nick Johnson on there team...Kid could be a stud but he is a gimp....Always has been Always will be....If he could stay healthy then the Yanks might want him...They dont need any more Carl Pavano's or Kevin Brown's
