Boston fans perspective of the World Series

again, you guys need to research a little before making comments that dont add up......manny, drew and foulke were aquired via free agency.....pedro was aquired by trade for the yanks old buddy pavano and tony armas jr.....schilling was aquired by trade for casey fossum.....beckett and lowell came together for what now is a pretty good SS in hanley ramirez.....not even here to bitch about the yanks "buying" players, just to clarify that these players were not all "bought"

A-Rod was involved in a trade. Then they "bought" to keep him. Schillikng was traded for then "bought" to keep.  Same as Lowell, Drew and Pedro if I'm not mistaken. Beckett will be "bought" when his contract is up. Everyone is "bough" eventually.

all due respect, you are a stand up guy sparky, but arod is the ONE exception for most of the new yankees that was aquired by trade, i definately agree that all players are "bought", but there is a difference when you give something up to aquire great players and extend them, instead of only aquiring them through free agency.....matsui, damon, tex, cc, burnett,  all came in with nothing given up (except cash, which georgey grows on trees in his backyard lol).....again im not disagreeing, im just saying there is a difference

Abreu was aqcuired via trade. Once his payroll was up, they had a spot to fill. Can't blame them for that. The thing is...before the last 3 years, the Yankees were ragged on for giving up all of their prospects in trades. Then, they were ragged on for NOT giving up their prospects for Johan Santana. But that's what comes with the territory of being a Yankee Fan. You can't win. They win the World Series..."You bought that Championship". You don't win the World Series..."HaHa, You can't even buy a Championship." I see what your saying...I'm just telling my story.

If a team 'buys' ONE player and wins the world series, you can say that they 'bought' the championship. Almost every team has at least one 'bought' guy. Lets get over the 'bought' and sold stuff because the bottom line remains, no matter how many times non-yankees fans use the term 'bought' it still isn't going to make the victories any less sweet.

In fact, just keep saying bought and Yank fans will keep laughing in your face collecting their trophies and reveling in your pain. Keep on hating while the Yanks keep on winning.
