I was actually all set to back them today with Dempster, but after that debacle last night decided to stay away from the Cubs for a little while (until Garza pitches again of course :)

I lean with you, I like your thinking, I usually like to see pitcher history...but if it holds at 8 I think it will be a great play

Yeah I like Toronto.  I was leaning that way as well. Just wasn't as strong of a play for me as the UNDER.  I wanted to be a bit more selective in MLB until I could turn the losing streak around

I like the Yankees.  Under normal circumstances I would probably play them today but just trying to be a little more selective as I climb out of this MLB losing rut. 

Yankees against a left-handed starter is always worth a look, especially when they are listed as dogs.

bodio, how do u bet these totals without knowing the hp umpire thats where u can find alot of value one way or the other. i mean if somebody like scott barry or d. cousins is behind plate tonite would u still bet the under? with a kid making his mlb debut? not a hater post just wondering.

its my best play of night followed closedly by cubbies....big value with Dempster tonight and see him giving up no more than 2...cubs reeling after those last 2 losses in cincy and will get it done tonight

what on earth makes you think dumpster is only gonna give up 2 runs against a fish line up? and nolasco is clearly the better pitcher...the only value showing for the cubs is the +135 odds..but thats about it

Never really considered Umps or refs in basketball as a factor.  I know certain refs/umps out there have some interesting trends/records, but the sample sizes are so small usually that they're irrelevant.  What's your history with utilizing Umps in your handicapping?  How relevant is it 'really'?

Yeah, that was my last strong lean but both teams are struggling right now and Vargas has been very solid..

Yeah, I wanted to take the Cubs too today but after yesterday's debacle it's a pass for me.  Plus originally Dempster was supposed to face Volstad.  Fading Nolasco is a little tougher for me  :)
