COL has a big advantage with their hot bats over the Sox lineup.
 
lets see,
 
- Ruckus averaged 4.50 runs/game in the NLCS, during which they faced 1 18-game winner once
- Red Sox averaged 7.28 runs/game in the ALCS, during which they faced 2 x 19-game winners a combined total of 4 times
 
 
As for who has the hot bats in the playoffs (each side swept their division series, with BOS scoring 3 more runs that COL), theres simply no question.

The *overrated Tribe* won as many games as any other team did in baseball for the 2007 regular season. As so many people are wanting to point out that you dont luck going 21 of 22, so I point out that you dont luck the equal best record in baseball. An overrated team doesnt take an opponent with the (equal) best record in baseball to a game 7. Overrated teams are found out in playoff series (ie, the Yankees). Anyone calling Cleveland overrated is desperately trying to play down Boston('s comeback feat, and what it says about that team's strength).
 
And as an aside, funny how Cleveland wasn't being called overrated by anyone when they were up 3-1, eh. Funny that.

Something I dont like about this matchup for the RedSox. They are now the Big Boys on the Hill, not the Guys with an edge, with something to prove anymore
 
Boston was a favourite in 6 of 7 games vs the team with the equal best record in baseball. They were the Fav in all 3 games vs the Angels. Boston has always been "the Big Boys on the hill" for these playoffs. They were the AL team to beat. They knew it, the oddsmakers knew it, their opponents knew it (listen to any Wedge post game conferences?). Only you seem to fail to.
Being the Big Boy on the hill everyone wants to knock off (and with it a supposed lack of edge) hasn't stopped them so far.

What's not overrated about the Indians? They had success in the regular season, but against a division with no true competition. The Tigers started off strong but completely fell apart after the all star break, to say the twins offense is anemic is an understatement and nothing needs to be said about the White Sox and the Royals. First round they beat the '07 Yankees, not the '99 Yankees or the '96 Yankees, but the '07 squad who was so distracted by A-Rod even always composed Derek Jeter lost his cool (recall the interview where he was saying "we, we, we") The '07 Yankees have a very weak rotation outside of Wang and feature players that are nothing like they once were in their prime (Mariano Rivera, Johnny Damon, Jason Giambi etc.) This team was nothing like Yankees teams of the past. In the ALCS the Indians were exposed as a team with two inexperienced and overrated aces as well as a team with the tendency to "choke" just as all Cleveland teams do. They were an overrated squad by all means.

Dude, you're smoking crack.  The AL central was the 2nd best division in baseball after the AL east.  The Cleveland aces simply hit a wall although their inexperience in big games didn't help.  The only reason the Sox don't take this in 6 is Francona is a fucking retard of a manager.  He'll singlehandedly cost them 2 games so its Boston in 7. 

I do hope the NL backers continue to drink the cool-aid so that the lines come back down to a reasonable level.  This series is akin to the Superbowl.  Conference mismatches at epic proportions.

I think the biggest factor that affected CC an Carmona was the amount of innings they logged during the season. Next year and thereafter Wedge will slow down the horses as they near the gate. It was a great learning experience for them this year and barring serious injury they should be in contention for years to come.

I think indians are in tough division again next season, i'm afraid they missed one golden opportunity to reach World Series this year. tigers and twins may prove to indians how tribe really missed the golden chance in 2007. And I guess next year, white sox won't be as bad as in 2007. A baseball team can turn stone cold as fast as light speed, look at Cards who won 2006 and missed 07 playoff.

If a tough call such value at +190 with col. 9 days off no 9 day of gettin ready with nothing to lose. I wouldn't put big money on this but stranger things have happened. +190 is worth a shot at a unit. If its a blow out make it up in game two? HA HA

Too hard to pick a winner in game 1 though I think that one team or the other is likely to have at least one explosive offensive inning and neither team with go without runs on the board.  The over looks like a good way to go for game one.

Boston RL in game 1. Too much chalk to lay on the side but Beckett shuts these guys down anyway. 5-2 final.
That said I am putting a small wager on the Rox for the series.

The Sox may roll by 10, but its a hefty price to pay with all that juice. If youre going to play the Sox and have that much faith in them, then get the RL at EV or -2.5 at +180.
 
I put in a small bet with the Rox -1.5 @ +290!!!
 
and i have a small bet for the Rox to win the series @ +210.

Yeah, Rockies bats are hot, but they haven't been playing for a while. Boston Red Sox's bats are heating up as well, and they are carrying momentum.

Beckett may not be God, but he is the most unpopular he has been in a non-Yankee home fave game all year going by wagerline.  Wagerline consensus on Beckett in the much hyped June 14th meeting was 70%, top 4 highest consensus on a Beckett home start.  Only a home game vs the Yanks in April was Beckett less popular at home, tonight is just one of 2 times below 55%, and just the 5th time below 60% again talking about the wagerline consensus in a beckett home start.  Those 5 were Yanks twice, and vs Halladay and Lackey.  Why is Beckett more unpopular tonight than in other non-yankee home start when he is pitching at such a high level?  Cmon now...this makes no sense.  By saying Beckett is no god you act like everyone and their mama is all on his jock.  Reading these threads tonight its quite the opposite.  By the way, Rockes hit .222 in the NLCS, OPS was .627, and people are giving the lineup edge to the Rocks?

If the sox were -140 would anyone take um?  Vegas isnt going to set the line low... Those that bet the sox will take the sox... Thats why they set it so high IMO.
