I tried one system and during 13 days it created a profit of 17%. The principle of it is to bet a RL win of both teams in a game. So you´re killed by a single run win by any team. In any other case you´re gaining.

It is in Czech language, but you see the games, the bets, odds and unit distribution. Under the results you see:Celkem vsazeno-Total bets, Celkem výhry-Total win, Zisk/ztráta-Profit, Loss.
It was only a try, no money were betted. As I said, it generated a profit but I stopped it, because I hate system betting at any kind. And.....you still have to pick the right games....
When selecting games I look for:
A - as you said, low quality pitching
B - teams with great batting form
C - big difference in quality of starters (so you expect big win)
Team total is a good thing to look at cause it shows potentially high scoring game.
The amount of units wagered on each RL depends on the odds so you have around the same amount of units won no matter which RL wins. To calculate it i´m using surebet calculator, i´d post it but mine is using european odds. I´m sure something like that exists for american odds too.
