Tucker saved a run or more with the throw out at the plate.

On Saturday night Jose Altuve hit a 3-run homer in the top of the 7th to tie the game 6-6. Then Dusty brought in Montero who immediately gave those 3 runs back. Tonight, Altuve contributed that clutch 2-out 2-run double only to have Montero immediately give those 2 runs back.

I owe Rafael Montero an apology. He wasn’t the one who shat himself in the bottom of the 7th on Saturday night in Kansas City. It was this cat, Hector Neris, who’s out there right now trying to preserve this thin 6-5 lead.

Montero entered Saturday’s game with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th and promptly walked in a run.

Hector Neris just can’t get that third strike past Santander. Full count.

He finally did it as Santander waved at what would’ve been ball four.

Martin Maldonado just put himself in position to become a runline hero after crushing that solo shot to left center. That was a no doubter.
