Astros over the O’s

The Orioles aren’t playing well lately and they’re probably spent after playing four games against the Rays who haven’t hung their heads despite losing Wander Franco possibly forever. Yesterday the Orioles’ fight to maintain their 2-game lead in the division ended when they dramatically scratched up single runs in the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th innings to win 5-4. This team needs a day off but they’re not getting one.

Justin Verlander allowed 5 runs in a listless 6-2 loss to the A’s last week, but you can bet on him to come back strong. Would you believe that in 6 starts this season that followed a start where he gave up more than 3 earned runs, Verlander’s ERA is 0.95? Two of those 6 bounce back starts happened while pitching for Houston and the Astros won 7-3 and 12-3.

Getting on this live now Baltimore -185 (up 3-1 and runner on first with two outs). I have seen enough. This is bad Verlander today and no run support. Seen this a few times in the past. Baltimore wants it more. BOL Bator we are basically laying the same line. If I lose I guess I will be happy for you.

Now it was Chas McCormick’s turn to run in and run in with runners on 2nd and 3rd……and the ball dropped.

  I was going to play the Astro's tonight until I seen the O's road record as a DOG...Insane record. 

Means is out dueling Verlander. Who would have thunk that. We will see if it holds up with the bullpens come in but if Means can get though one more inning then bullpen is reduced to 3 innings only.

Well 8 hits and counting. Even Kjestad is teeing off of Verlander. Dude is done. He hasn't been the same (consistently) this year at all. Maybe he has the ability to turn it on in the playoffs but guy doesn't look dominate (most of the time).

Os decided to go to their bullpen. This guy in now started off rough (still has a horrible ERA) but has been lights out the last 7 appearances. See if he can continue the trend with the 4-5-6 batters.

Fujinami fired a pitch off the backstop that I’m pretty sure left a dent.
