and one reason i cant wait for hockey is because of our situational betting occurs alot in hockey..last year there were multiple games a week with the scenario where the original favorite becomes the underdog due to big line steams..cashed on fadeing that steam all year last year...

DEGENERATE PLAY OF THE WEEK
FAU +3 over ULM...Better QB better team getting points in a series where the home team is 0-6 ATS. FAU plays with revenge and wins outright 35-24.

Washington just came off a huge road win as a 9 point dog at USC and now at home playing a team on a 3 game losing streak and only giving -1? I'm not buying it, ASU to me has the better offense and team. Let down spot for Washington and it's tough for good teams to come back off of huge wins let alone bad teams. I saw that game vs the Ducks and ASU shot themselves in the foot all game long. This is the shadiest line of the week and the game I like the most. Late game on Saturday night just sets up perfectly for all of the chasing going on in these late games.
SouthCarolina playing their biggest games in what seems like forever has Bama coming in and the line is sitting right below a TD. Tell me their not begging you to take big bad Bama. Reminds me of ARK so much as far as the line goes. What makes it better is that SC lost their last game, if they had won I wouldn't like this game but coming off a loss and Bama looking so great makes this a play for sure.
Tulane - Is there a line that stinks more?
Kentucky +7- More of an anti fade of Auburn who I don't trust on the road. To me this line seems a bit high. Used a lot of energy and emotion last week with Arkansas coming up next.
USC if it gets to 10 I think I have to play it. Coming off a disgusting game like that as a 9 point fav should cover this number. Seems like Stanford is the hip pick of the week. Not sure but there is value here and no one will be taking USC.
These are the games that jumped out to me this week. Who knows WTF I'll be taking on Saturday but since baseball is off the next couple days thought we'd talk some college.
In the NFL I am leaning
Broncos +7
Bills +1
Oh shit I forgot this is a baseball forum so I'll be taking Reds game 1 +?. I have just gone to three different forums and 95% of the people talking about this series and opening game are giving them zero chance so naturally I will fade. No clue about the TB game, I just can't take Lee as a dog for some reason. I may take the NYY game 1 on the -1.5. Doubt it though, I do like the over for TB and the Yanks. Funny I think I took 2 overs the entire year. As of now only thing for sure is Reds game 1.
I like the Az St play
I wouldnt bet on USC or S Carolina. Stanford will be to good on both sides of the ball and are playing at home after getting beat in Eugene.
S Carolina is the sexy dog pick this week, but all I keep hearing about is Bama having a letdown. They still gotta line up and I havent heard ONE person talk about X's and O's. Garcia is no Mallet and the Bama defense will shut Lattimore down.
I'll also take Auburn at the short line. All Kentucky has done is proved it can tplay with the big boys. The offense will make some plays, but their defense will be their achilles heel all year...
Reds look good at 2-1, but Philly has been rocking the ball. Will Cincy be ready to play in a game this big after getting the division handed to them in a down year?
Like the Bills, but Denver on the road back to back vs the best defense they've seen this year spells trouble for Orton imo...

hitterno can you give me an example of fading the steam....I think i know what your saying but I guess it could be two things....so your saying for example the Phillies are -110 and the Tigers are +100...Phillies go to +105 and Tigers go to -105....obviously more money coming in on the Tigers so you fade that "steam" and take the Phillies who went from a favorite to a dog?? if u have a second please explain.

exactly!!..i cant tell you how many times a team opened as a small fav and by morning they were a dog in hockey..and pretty much every game..the original favorite won..this system works in pretty much all sports(165 and i mentiion it all the time..nobody ever acknowledges it..in fact i made a thread last year in the hockey forum and posted examples..but nobody paid attention)..once the original favorite crosses over from a pk to the underdog..you have to fade the steam..this situation is pretty much undefeated this year in football(won last night..new england went from -1 to +1)..from what i remember in hockey last year ottawa and buffalo during the beginning to middle of the year until people caught on were in this scenario a bunch of times..

Hitterno is right....made a ton of money last year in NBA based on that reason

i could never get past the Troy game against OSU. MTSU has played some real dogs. Just couldn't bring myself to play MTSU.
It was Troy or nothing. Hoping to get some more good stuff at half but that's nothing happening with mtsu doing nothing but passing gas............

i realize w your rational (which is typically spot on) this sounds like a rediculous premise, but if this line shades the other way and wash becomes the dog, stay off!! actually in this unlikely case bet wash, its an awesome system/trend whathaveyou

lol, i loved giants monday night at 1030 central, but after buying into the anti celebration angle i did an about face and bought off chicago onto gia bigger (polish middle) and ate it...i dont like the celebration angle (ring of honor deal) i do love most of 165s offbeat stuff (#1 is star player goes down n nba, also love late scratch mlb sp) but this one in nfl seems to be correlational more than causational.
