I've said it in multiple threads: whoever can manufacture runs going forward without hitting the deep ball will probably win this series. So....if you get a lead off double, why not bunt with the 2 hitter?! You get Altuve up l, a contact hitter with speed on the bases and most likely you are up 1-0. Bad baseball imo.

And just as I thought and like I've said all playoffs, expect the unexpected. Darvish "the almighty" couldn't get through 2 innings of ball. So much for being unhittable. Lots of ball left but what a piss poor showing by "the Darvish". Let's get some more runs Astros!

But as we've seen NOTHING is a for sure yet I feel like so many think Darvish is automatic. Confidence is hard to cap yet how can we denounce what happened last game? I'm not putting too much emphasis on last game but I saw Springer, Altuve, Correa and the crew come alive against the "for sure unhittable Dodgers bullpen".....Again, NOTHING is for sure. So tonite, I think we see a very pumped crowd and I think we see a focused Astros team AT HOME. They'd home field run will come to an end in this series but I don't see it happening tonite.

Astros with the W baby!  Darvish this, Darvish that, check his pants because in the second inning he took a shat! Congrats Astros backers

Now 74-51 overall and now 21-9 in the playoffs.

Now is the time, not game 2 when he took Hill out early, where you have to say that who Roberts pitches in game 4 will decide this series. I'd expect Kershaw to want the ball and if Roberts doesn't give it to him, I'd want to know about it. Somebody in the media bring it to me! Haaaa! Because if Roberts isn't smart enough to pitch the best pitcher in baseball here, he should indeed be fired. No brainer to pitch Kershaw game 4. Kuechel will be pitching game 4 so Roberts....it's on you amigo.

Anybody see Gurriel and his racial bs in the dugout towards Darvish? Smart move to give the Dodgers something along with the series to get pissed about. These ball players get paid a lot of money but a prerequisite isn't some of them having to be smart. Gurriel = idiot.

Dude is a jerk, the Japanese League has paid him good money when he played in Japan. Now he mocked Yu Darvish who is a Japanese player, just wonder how those Japaneses who have treated well and paid him big money will react after this jerk's Asian mocking gesture. What a person.

The Asian markets have paid big chunk of money to the MLB, MLB will have to fine and/or suspend Yuli Gurriel for a few games. His racially mocked posture toward Asians will be widely spread across Asian social media in no time, the repercussion from this jerk just too costly for MLB to dodge.

This is definitely an issue and if I were on that Astros team I'd be pissed. You've all of the sudden now given a team down 2-1 with their big horse going tonite more motivation to get back into this series. It reminds of the Steelers locker room in last year's playoffs with Antonio Brown even though I thought was scripted to the T. Last nite seemed like it was pretty spur of the moment with Gurriel though. Anybody that says bulletin board material doesn't fuel a locker room especially when it's racially and culturally insensitive is nuts. This is a problem and it could be the small seed to change this series. Not smart to piss off a very good team!

74-51 overall and 21-9 in the playoffs:

    Game 4: Dodgers/Astros Play:

Well here we are: Houston holding serve at home all throughout the playoffs and the Dodgers backed into the corner. So does the trend continue tonite since Roberts supposedly can't manage his team properly and the fact that Wood gets the ball over Kershaw in the biggest game of the year? Is he so dumb that he's just handing this game away like Astros backers believe?

So Darvish was the bait last nite for all the Dodgers backers. "He's on fire, he's unhittable, he knows the Astros".....well....Darvish went 2 innings? Tonite.....it's Wood and the idea here with so many is how can Roberts not pitch Kershaw here? I would personally pitch Kershaw BUT ask yourself this: Is Wood any less of a pitcher than Mr. Morton? Also with this "unstoppable home field advantage" that the Astros have, why is the line so low? It was at -135 Astros now it's down to -112? Hmmmmm. Why the movement? I'm not a guy that will auto play line movement but I see no glaring advantage tonite for the Astros here. Wanna talk intangibles? Ok. Houston hasn't lost at home so confidence is riding high but wait....let's talk about another kind of motivation for the Dodgers. Why in the h@ll would Gurriel do what he did last nite? Absolutely dumb a$$ to loss an entire team off. Both sides have the intangibles.....

Tonite, I like the Dodgers. This is a must win for them. Plain and simple. Im 3-0 so far in this World Series and call me crazy here, when I found out Roberts was sacking up and playing Wood over Kershaw, I said I respect the hell out of that. As a player, I like that my manager not only has confidence in wood but indirectly it says he has a ton of confidence in the ENTIRE TEAM to take it to Mr. Morton and the Astros making sure the starting pitcher choice becomes a side story not the main story. I love the home field for the Astros and would love to see Houston win it all but for this particular game, I like the Dodgers to buck the trend tonite and get an away victory.

Dodgers with the win baby! Once again, the bait hits hard though tonite. Tonite, all the Astros backers loving the home field but more importantly loving the idea that Kershaw wasn't getting the ball. "Wood hasn't pitched in over a month" or better yet, "in his last 6 outings, Wood and the Dodgers have lost 4"...we heard it all from the posters who were purely stating "facts". Well....I wonder if Roberts gets any respect now? Going with Wood over Kershaw tonite is having balls. Roberts has them and Wood showed he was just as good as the Mr. Morton. We have a series now. Congrats Dodgers backers.

Now 75-51 overall, 4-0 in the World Series and 22-9 in the playoffs.

Really impressive run in the playoffs Bud, Well Done.... I saw a prop that peaked my interest and wanted to know what u thought about it,

    MOST STRIKEOUTS

    KERSHAW -200

    KUECHEL +145

Game 1, Kershaw had 11k's and Dallas had 3k's

seems like a really good bet to lay the duece and pick up a found stick... Nothing is guaranteed but 8k differential doesn't seem like it's going to change 9 fold to beat me.... Whaddaya think about that?

75-51 overall and 22-9 in the playoffs:

    Game 5: Dodgers/Astros Play:

Roberts made the right move last nite in pitching Wood and now Kershaw takes the mound. Wasn't that the plan?!  I have said that no one player will cause me to take a specific side but with a legacy on the line and this series being tied, I think Kershaw pitches a gem. Ground breaking I know. In my pick tonite though....I like the Dodgers bats to continue hitting and I like that bullpen as well. I feel these two pitchers tonite may cancel themselves out much like last nite but Im not only picking this game tonite, IF my pick wins here tonite, I will even pick the winner tomorrow for you here. I like the Dodgers tonite but I like Verlander and the Astros on the road to force a game 7. How fitting from there would it be if Darvish were the one to end this series for the Astros with some payback. Let's take tonite though first; I don't want to get ahead of myself just yet even though I think I have!

It's too funny reading all the posters going back and forth with the emotions in this game. I've read too many "this game is over" threads. Nothing should surprise anybody in this series. Nothing m. Lots of baseball to play still.
