Winning is contagious. Colorado is now 17-1 in last 18 games and these guys are playing the best baseball in the nation now. Not only that they are winning, but they are winning in style. U.Jimenez and his era of 2.69 in last 10 starts in perfectly suited to add to the Rockies streak. He has won his last 3 starts. allowed only 1 HR in last 5 starts (36.1 IP) and only 3 HR all season long (89.1 IP). His K/BB ratio is 2.00. O'Sullivan had a great start at SF but a young guy like him is not the best option when a team on a 3 game losing streak is facing the hottest team in the nation. The Rockies streak should continue tonight.
ATLANTA -117
This play is completely against NYY and Wang, I'm not a big fan of Atlanta this season but at least they won 3 of last 5 and have a 5-4 record vs AL this season winning all three series openers vs AL teams this season. They had a winning record vs AL teams last season as well. They are 7-2 in 9 home games vs AL since
last season. The Yankees are 4-8 in last 12 and they are free falling after a 8-4 record in previous 12 games and a 10-2 record in previous 12 games. Wang's ERA is sky high and even worst in his starts where it stands at 17.18 (2.94 WHIP).
WASHINGTON +120
The betting public will be pounding Boston all day long with this short line. But in reality, this team that was killing bad teams in last 5-6 seasons in only 3-10 this season as road favorite vs teams with a losing record. Penny's road era is 5.29 and road WHIP 1.52. He is îtching well lately but Lannan is even better. His home era is 1.72 with a 2-0 record and Washington won his last three starts where he had an era of 1.24. Washington has been very competitive over the past 12 days and I feel that they will competitive today again.
DODGERS +103
If this game happened yesterday I would be fading LA because of the letdown factor but now that they had a day of rest to forget about the LAA series I believe that they will be ready for this series. They are 11-2 in last 13 as road dogs winning all 3 vs AL. They used to be horrible as road dogs at AL but not any more. The White Sox have been horrible at home against good teams and that streak should continue today. Kuroda hasn't been spectacular so far but he is stil better than Danks. The White Sox are but at home where they have the 2nd worst record in the AL.
TAMPA BAY -164
Big game and big series for TB. They are finnaly winning (14-7 in last 21 losing 2 of 3 at red hot colorado and 2 of 3 at nyy who were red hot at that time) and stil in the AL East race. They are facing a team that beat them in the WS finals last season and this is a major revenge game for them. Phillies lost 6 straight and tehy were outscored 19-38 in the process. Moyer's era stands at over 6.00 and he is only 4-6 on the season. Price is doing well, especially at home with a 1.80 era. He has already beaten LAA and MIN with a combined score of 16-3 allowing 2 er in 10 ip.
OAKLAND +105
Oakland was swept at SF earlier this season and they will probably try hard to return the favour to the Giants. They started the series with a win and I expect them to win another one today. They are back home after a long road trip. They won 4 of 6 since getting swept in first 4 road California games. They are 9-3 in last 12 home games. SF ended their last road trip with a loss and 1 run scored and that's exactly how they started this road trip yesterday. They are 13-20 on the road this season and Oakland will try to revenge a 3-0 loss that involved these same pitchers earlier this season. Oakland had more hits in that game !

Boston is hitting on all cylinders offensively, they have the best bullpen in baseball and Washington is just a bad baseball team. They had a couple "impressive" wins against an overrated Yankees team that was floundering at the time. On top of that Penny's ERA and career stats against the Nats are pretty impressive.

You think so? They have only 20 basehits in their last four games.

I waited to get this total at 8 with no juice on the over and I got it. I love Greinke but he is not as dominant as he used to be earlier this season. He allowed no runs in 5 of his first 6 starts this season and KC won all 6 games and under went 5-1. Then he allowed 1-2 earned runs in the next 4 starts and both KC and Under went 2-2. Finally, he allowed 3-5 earned runs in his last 4 starts and KC went 0-4 with over going 3-1. I expected Greinke to slow down at one point as he is pitching for a bad team that can't score runs and can't win, and thats frustrating for any pitcher. In his last two starts he had 115 and 116 pitches and he had at least 101 pitch in last 13 starts. That's usually not a problem for a pitching ace, but what is alarming here for Greinke is that he used to throw less than 15 pitches per inning and 100+ pitches thrown were easier to swallov over 7+ innings outings. Now he is throwing 100+ pitches on less innings of work and the result is 16-20 pitches per inning, and that is killing his arm. All of his 3 HR allowed this season came in last 3 starts. His WHIP in last 3 starts is 1.52 and it was 0.90 in all previous starts this season. Greinke has an era of 6.86 in last 80 innings pitched in june. Ortiz reached 50 innings of work and last time he got over that number was in 2005. His era stands at 3.60 but his whip is telling me that he is lucky. A whip of 1.60 is more common for pitchers with era of 5.50-6.00. His era is 2.49 as reliever and 4.45 as starter. Expect Ortiz to get hammered very soon, and maybe even today by a team averaging 5 runs per game in last 8 games (for KC that is huge). KC pen has an era of over 8.00 in last 5 games and a confident Houston team will probably take advantage of that.
