...nobody on the planet could have predicted that score. Nobody.
Did Toronto just make a statement? Or was the Game One win a fluke. We'll find out tomorrow night.
If the Jays hitters can make Yamamoto work like they made Snell work tonight, they're odds on to win again. They just wore down and beat one of the best pitchers in baseball. They can beat Yamamoto too if they can wear him the same way to get into the LA pen. Big "ifs" though. We'll see.
Sure was impressed with the way the Jays stayed focused...don't recall watching an entire team being that zoned in...they're gonna have to keep that up too...RT2

No fluke. The Blue Jays were the highest scoring team in baseball this season, and they've stepped it up in October averaging 6.8 runs per game in their dozen playoff games.

Agree, and yes, no fluke...the LA money is in trouble big time. We'll find out tonight how much in trouble.
Lukes and Barger will hit from the left side tonight...better hitters=more offense.
Other notes:
--Toronto seems to have inside info on how to pitch Teoscar...makes sense that they would know his weaknesses.
--Freeman isn't hitting; he seems off balance at the plate. LA won't win without his bat. Edman too seemed out of sync, and Pages was lost at the dish.
--13 K's last night...that's a lot of whifs for the supposed best offense in the NL...the ugly layoff factor is for real.
