UFC Fight Night- Vettori Vs. Cannonier Picks

1.) Modestas Bukauskas ML $200 (-200 odds)

Logic: Pauga does not belong in the UFC. Old, lacking power going against a man on the rebound who has everything to prove. 

2.) Any other outcome than Ronnie Lawrence by decision

Logic- We cash this with a Argueta win or a Lawrence finish.  I see it going to the ground and someone catching a finish. $100 (-150 odds)

3.) Bleda fight to NOT go the distance $200 (-110 odds)

Logic- Bleda will take this to the ground and search for the finish, or she will get finished on the feet. Either way we cash.

4.) Bondar ML $100 (-140 odds)

Logic: See Bondar grinding Hernandez down.  Many more paths to victory as Hernandez overall game is so bland.

5.) Kang ML $100 (+125 odds)

Logic- Love the plus money value we are getting with a more proven fighter.  Kang is extremely durable and has the more well rounded skillset.  I expect him to seek a submission or grind out a decision but either way, victory.

6.) Dalby fight to go the distance $50 (-140 odds)

Logic- Dalby is going to try and pressure.  He will either succeed and grind or have to stay at range.  He has never been finished.

7.) Torres to win inside the distance $200 (+102 odds)

Logic- He is aggressive and has some dynamite in his hands against a guy who doesn't have much in the way of defense.

8.) Almeida fight under 2.5 rounds $200 (-130 odds) 

Logic- Sabbatini will try to take their to the ground for a submission.  He just got destroyed by the uneventful Damon Jackson.  Almeida has multiple paths to victory.  Do not even see this going past 1.5 much less 2.5

9.) Duncan fight to NOT go distance $200 (-130) 

Logic- Petroysan would be smart to try and wrestle for a submission.  Both men have KO power.

10.) Torres by TKO, DQ, Submission or KO- $100 (-125 odds)

 Thanks brother. Yeah idk if Bukauskas could have had any worse of a gameplan. Took zero advantage of speed and reach. Then gassed and threw nothing. Would not surprise me if he gets cut again. 

I think you pissed him off saying he doesn’t belong!!  The big honky did nothing, sheesh!! We all got cooked !!    

Solid win to start with Bukauskas. With that being said. Judges who scored that 30-27 for my pick are nuts. I expected 29-28 split.

 He got rocked three times in the first round. All three rounds were a toss up in my book. Nuts one judge gave our guy all three. We will take it though.

We got absolutely SCREWED on that win with a no contest being called. The ref calls a submission and then it is reviewed and called a NO CONTEST. Argueta was DOMINATING. Keith Peterson, ban his dumb ass!

Keith Peterson is a grown up Bobby Hill from King of the Hill. He’s obviously embarassed. Much deserved. Let’s just win everything.

That was terrible.. unless theres a tap or loss of conciousness, dont stop the fight.. the finish was literally 5 seconds away and he stopped it prematurely

 Great question. I think they would have arguments that they can’t recreate that exact position and wouldn’t be fair since the fighters didn’t do anything wrong.

 Agreed. That was dominant control and at that weight would have happened every round if the official finish didn’t happen. Insane that he stopped that and then no contest. Honestly, I feel like a no contest should be a win because it is an outcome that is still not a decision for Lawrence. Oh well. Annoying, but we move on. 

I think thats a bad spot for ref.    Hes trying to keep minimal damage when a fighter is unconscious.    But i dont think that gets callled if hes on the other side of fighters in that exact position
