Longtime MMA fan and I am very confident in Aldo. Because of Mcgregor's recent popularity and loud mouth, people are forgetting how great Aldo is. He is the best in the world and I strongly believe he will dominate this fight. It blows my mind he is a slight underdog, by fight time I predict that will change (so get it in now)

    good luck

When I first looked at the fights, I was going to pick McGregor. But after reading and watching some videos of their past fights. And watching the line movement, I'm going to take

    Aldo ml

But it could go either way with one punch or kick. I do think McGregor is going to charge Aldo right from the start. If Aldo can weather it, I feel he'll have the advantage as the fight continues on...

    My fingers will be crossed.

The only thing that qualifies me to give picks here is that I am a huge mma fan. I train mma. I read all the articles watch all the videos on the online communities. This level of dedication I have is massive. I feel I have a good understanding of the fight game. I believe Conor will win. And that is completely ignoring his trash talking persona. His dynamic skillset is the top of the top. Where as Aldo has perfect technique his movement is much more basic, his combos are more basic. His reach is shorter so from a purely physical and style stand point Conor has huge advantages. Which is why I'm guessing Vegas is siding with him to. Because they know. Aldo is one tough dude so its not going to be a demolition I don't think but I think will hit him really hard as he has other wordly power which is evidenced by his finish rate. And then will use patient and intelligent shot selection to finish Aldo. I don't know which round but that I how I see this fight going. Needless I cannot wait for this fight!

Just to counter the point that vegas likes him the only reason why the line was opened as high as it was is because everytime mcgregor fights he gets most of the bets which is because he has a massive following.  At this point mcgregor is down to -130 and i could see it dropping further. This could be a -110 to even by fight time.  This article is pretty good also https://www.mmafighting.com/2015/11/27/9798748/the-night-we-faced-jose-aldo-ufc-194-conor-mcgregor

Rebuttal - Brazil has much more people which means more Aldo fans betting money on him.  second point - the article takes a one sided view solely on Aldo's accomplishments which I could never take away from him. Not many of those guys are in the UFC anymore.
https://youtu.be/tNKOLP8ZEv8 listen to tommy's pick he said the fight won't even go 3 rounds to reply to others who were asking about fight duration, another gift.

McGregor is definitely very dangerous, but I think many people have forgotten how good Aldo really is. He hasn't been finishing fights the way he did when fighting in the WEC, probably b/c he wants to take the safest route to retaining his belt, but McGregor's style of constant pressure won't allow him to coast, if it even stays standing much at all. The Irishman better get that KO in the first two rounds or else he'll be eating humble pie.

I think if Aldo looks healthy at weigh-ins, +120-ish is a gift.

Does this line remind anyone else of the first Silva/Weidman fight? An invincible champion with the best "value" in years

If anything silva is more like mcgregor in that he was keeping his hands down and begging his opponent to hit him. Didn't work out too well for him.

Actually it worked out very well for him as he is regarded is the pre-eminent knock out artisan on the planet. I agree that Mcgregor is the next silva. Aldo is the Rich Franklin.

https://youtu.be/tNKOLP8ZEv8 listen to tommy's pick he said the fight won't even go 3 rounds to reply to others who were asking about fight duration, another gift.

LOL most people in Brazil barely can keep a roof over their head or food on the table let alone gamble on a website on MMA!

McGregor has had too many distractions coming into this fight. Being on TUF, fooling around with Game of Thrones characters, appearances on Jimmy Kimmel, etc.

I don't see either guy laying it on the line in the first round. too much at stake for both.

I'm not betting it and like both fighters. Aldo clearly has experience on his side. I don't give points for confidence. It can be false and/or misguided. Rousey was confident too.

Pretty soft of McGregor to do when he predicted the shots will land and he will finish Aldo off inside 1 round which is a pretty bold statement.

Mcgregor probably takes it because although he is Irish his blood is Viking who were conquerors.  Aldo had a tough uprbringing like when his family tried to bbq him during a soccer match when the food ran out (scar on left cheek) but ultimately he is the descendant of conquered peoples so there you have it

Connor will absolutely be using those kicks to target that rib of Aldo as well.

Looks like it was a good call for me to not bet this one. That was pathetic.
