thats all that was promised to him before the fight, thats crap, traing and travel cost more than that. i never liked the way the purses were set up by danna white. when frank mirr beat brock, mirr got 70k while brock got 250k, serk got 35k while penn got 125k plus the 125k bounus for winning. for a fighter who had never lost in the 155 class 35k is a joke, brock will get 250k guarented again for his next fight even though he hasnt beat anyone really. jardine was one fight away from a title fight 10k is a joke, the axe damm near killed him but still thats a joke

jardine is a joke, bj is the main draw, most fans hate sherk. they pay who draws. if these fighters feel like they're not making enough money, then finish your contract and leave.

people like jardine! did u see the crowd when he came out he looks like satan and has had some bad ass wins if he beat the axe his next fight would have been for the title, and thats what people are doing in the UFC finishing there contracts and leaving, randy, tim sylvia, tito, 3 badass fighters all because of danna white.

the part that kills me is i was watching the TUF season yesterday and some of thoughs guys that were in some of the most boring fights i ever seen and just so happened to put him in a armbar then gets 10,000.. NOT EVEN IN THE UFC YET!!!! I couldnt imagine Jardine watching these shows with his broken eye socket and probably only has 3,000 left from that 10,000 after fighting Wand! Feel very sorry for that guy..

UFC is a sport just like baseball hockey football so I believe it is time that the fighters form a player union if you will to protect them from this crap. There is no way on this great earth that anyone could convince me regardless of your opinion on Jardines skills that Jardine should be paid 10,000 for a fight a this point in his career he has been in with the best and has beaten the best it seem almost criminal. Ultimatley the fighters hold the cards because if they band together and unamiously agree that this is hoarse shit and refuse to fight until a fair and equitable agreement can be reached the UFC would have no choice but to clean up there act when it comes to paying the fighters fairly. 10,000 wouldnt have even covered his medical bills that he must of had because he got damaged prety bad.

and i feel alot of people will be leaving the ufc for this reason.. yes there are alot of smaller promotions with guys only making 500, but them guys did not beat Chuck liddell, and did not fight wandy, so that is no comparison, chuck and wandy are two of the best fighters in the sport, as someone stated before that 10 doesnt even cover medical fees...Keith Jardine deserves more money period, or else put him against little stepping stones for 10,000.. he can find backyard fights for that much and walk through guys..
