I sometimes go to a Indian Casino down here in
Anyway, I went to the casino this past Monday. The casino has lots of slots, various table games ( BJ, Pai Gow Poker, Let it Ride, 3 Card Poker, Texas Hold Em Bonus Poker, Mini Baccarat ). They also have a poker room as well.
I started out playing some 3 Card Poker - I was the only one at the table. I ended up only playing about 6-7 hands. I had terrible hands; the dealer kept making pairs – I think I may have won only one hand. I started out with $ 200.00 and was down to $ 140.00 in about 5 mins.
Then I went to the Texas Hold Em Bonus Poker table – I took my $ 140.00 and added another $ 100.00. I played at this table for about 30-40 min. I was prob. at about $ 470 - $ 480 when a couple of other people sat down and the cards went to shit for me. The dealer started hitting all kinds of hands, I lost a bunch of money – when I finally got up I was at $ 160.00. So I was down - $ 140.00 so far for the day.
I thought about hitting the BJ tables, but then decided to try Mini-Baccarat. I went over to check it out since this was a game I had never played before and I wanted to play it.
The game itself is easy enough – you bet on either the banker or the player. The dealer draws cards for both the banker and the player – whoever’s cards add up closest to 9 wins. ( Ck the internet for the specific rules, it’s too long to type up here )
When I sat down I sat in the middle of the table; there was a young asian guy – maybe mid 20’s to my left and to my right; a late 40’s-early 50’s asian woman. As I sat down getting ready to get my chips both of them were betting pretty large amounts of $$.
I started with my $ 160.00 – I started making a few $ 10.00 minimum bets – but then I started to make some bigger bets. The guy to my left was betting $ 500 - $ 1000.00; he had nothing but stacks of black chips he was betting with. The woman to my right had 4 huge COLUMNS of green chips plus a few tall stacks of black chips. A pit boss wanted to know if I wanted to keep track of the winning hands ( A lot of players track the wining streaks of the player and banker during playing; hoping to find some advantage or trend ), but I knew keeping track doesn’t really help- so I declined.
I sorta half followed what the guy and girl were doing since they were betting large ass bets every time. After a while I had some pretty good success and I was up over $ 600.00. I was starting to bet $ 50, $ 75, even a $ 100 a hand. It was pretty crazy – I was going back and forth – I even bet $ 200.00 on one hand ( lost ) I bet $ 150 another hand ( won ). After a while the guy left; he cashed out – he pushed a HUGE ASS stack of Black chips in the middle of the table plus about 6-7 $ 500.00 chips. He left the table with $ 9,700.00 . I played for about another 15 min or so – I think I got up to almost $ 1250.00; then like all degenerates I started giving it all back. I should have quit; but I got greedy – I started missing with my bets and I got all way the back down to $ 180.00 – I had a commission I had to pay the dealer for my banker bets ( I had been paying them previously; but I now had some for the last 5-10 min of play ). I payed them out and I had $ 166.00 left. I decided to make one last bet – I put the $ 166.00 on player and I won and doubled up my money to $ 322.00
That was it – I had a blast playing mini-baccarat; it was a pretty exciting game for what it was. Basically a coin flip of what side will win – banker or player. I wished I wouldn’t have been so greedy – I should have stopped up when I was up. Will def. play again – hopefully sometime soon.
