EYE pulled its bid to take over BOL this afternoon...about 20 minutes ago

6 months ago this goes through. hell 2 months ago this goes through...i have no doubt in my mind that they couldnt get the financing for this deal

Warburg Pincus is now cleared to take over Bausch and Lomb

scary shit going on in the credit world...if a deal like this cant get done, what about the other deals that ran this market up?

no financing for LBOs
no financing for mortgages
no financing for cars

well not none, but much less and you have to be overqualified to get a dollar

To be honest I had no clue as to why EYE wanted BOL with all the troubles they (BOL) had..

I sold my high yield bond fund last week..

I find it interesting that Prime is over 8 while Fed Funds are 3 pts lower...

Ahhhhhh....&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;In the short-term (like next 5-10 days), the sell-off will continue as there is enough pure fear to keep the shake-out alive and kicking.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;But, it&#x27;s a buying opportunity for long-term players.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Once the summer low gets re-tested sometime this fall, there will be rally that takes the major indices higher than they were just a few weeks ago.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;BUYING OPPORTUNITY&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;There is enough fear and worry and hand-wringing for the market to move higher once the weak hands have been forced to fold.

"Sell in May and go away" has always worked for me, but volatility does entice me to trade a bit, just for kicks.
