Missed this thread first time. Yeah, that WWAT I found out from what I would consider an informed investor....he told me pretty much everything possible about the company. All public info of course mostly from the website I presume. Anyway, I been looking at it for a little while but you know how the odd lot theory works...basically like the squares in sportsbetting. cool website though www.worldwater.com for WWAT www.octillioncorp.com for OCTL

Toyota aims for greener production with use of solar power

NAGOYA — Toyota Motor Corp. said Monday it will install this fall a solar power generation system on the rooftop of its Tsutsumi plant in Aichi Prefecture that assembles Prius hybrid cars to produce electricity needed by its production lines from around March 2008.

The first move by Toyota to use solar power at a domestic factory is in line with the company policy to make both its products and manufacturing processes eco-friendly, the nation's top carmaker said.

I think that if there is one industry that is excellerating at this point it is solar energy. I believe that Sunpower's stock has gone up 275% since it's IPO in November of '05. I am getting into the industry and if more state's governments create initiatives like California has then the industry will only get stronger. The manufactuers where having problems keeping up with the production for the PV panels but most of their problems have been solved (good problem to have...high demands). The federal government at this point gives a $200 federal tax credit but have been talking about doing a rebate of up to 30% of the remaining balance after state rebate for on-grid systems. If that happens consumers will pee on themselves with excitement trying to get a PV system. Also, "going green" is the cool thing to do and celebs and corporations are trying to have ECO friendly labels placed on them.
 
PV (or solar systems) are great for commercial buildings. In california they receive a 30% state rebate, a 30% federal rebate (not yet available for residential consumers) and a 5 year depreciation write off on their taxes. These commercial solar consumers are getting a ROI in 4 to 5 years....after that they are pretty much receiving free electricity for the next 20-30 years, saving themselves a lot of money. If you are looking for certain Co's to look into let me know....

SPWR and FSLR have sold off pretty hard last 2 weeks.....hmmmm.

I think FSLR deserves to be at 40 or below..and long term I think it gets there.

WFR on the other hand deserves its current valuation, not sure about Sun Power.

Tell me about it.....
 
I got FSLR with a basis of 111, but will "double down" if it gets to the low 60s (63.5 is my "GTC").
 
Could happen sooner than later, and then again, an announcement of a bunch of deals on a day when the shorts are scrambling due to an imminent market bailout package, and FSLR will never see 60 until a 2:1 split, at least for the next year.
 
Time will tell, as it always does.
 
And speaking of time, it is "timing" that affects the ST gyrations more than anything.
