Heya,
This isnt really an investment related thread, but it is an economic q so I figured I'd give it a shot.
Long story short, I've got a seminar presentation (not in economics) and I'd like to use the answers to these questions in my discussion:
What are the signs (advanced or commonsense) that would indicate signs of economic distress or recovery?
Any other related signs that would be indicative of a major economic event?
General signs investors look for before buying or selling?
For example: I've heard that housing prices (+ or - changes) in the most wealthy parts of America (eg Beverly Hills) often serve as reliable indications of what housing prices will look like in other areas, years later.
