cd,This is an EFT, a sort of closed mutual fund..meaning it is a basket of stocks, not a company. The ETF trades on the exchange just like a stock.So you should be able to go long and short it..long would mean SHORT (as that is the theme of the ETF) and short would be LONG the basket....

cd,I meant an ETF...lolAnd if you wanted to look into it I would investigate the holdings for sure..Also see the margining it does and if there is enough volume to short it (go long).More choices is always a good thing in the market.

Which is a good thing.  If you had every average Joe trying to trade derivatives in their 401k.  We would be in some serious trouble.
