I will be honest I do not have alot invested in YRCW stock. I think I invest $25 a paycheck to buy this stock. This is outside my 401k, and in my 401K I do not purchase it. It is basically a little liquid fund I have on the side. I want to keep investing in it becuase I think the economy is going to turn sometime. Our country will not survive in this economy we have going now. Call me crazy for thinking this way because I am not an expert in investing. Our CEO told us at the end of the 2nd qtr last year that things were not looking good for the economy. End of 3rd qtr he said they are not getting better but worse. End of 4th qtr he tells us to hang on for the ride. Tomorrow we have our "Town hall Meeting" where we get to hear the earnings and from what I have heard they (upper mgmt) are predicting, from what they see, the 2nd qtr could be the turn we are looking for. I have faith in this mgmt they have been up front with all of there employees, so I have no reason to doubt what they say. Maybe I am to optimistic, but I do not see how our country will survive if this economy keeps doing what its doing! Feedback welcome.

I had to post this, totally absurd option pricing-
    FREE MONEY

BIDU 620 calls for Jan 09 bidding 16 bucks.

Sell these suckers naked, the stock would have to almost double to get into trouble and if that did happen or get close to happening, you could buy another strike when they roll up or cover them out.

Shocking at the time premium given this stock, I was looking for put opportunities but no way would I pay 60 bucks for a 350 put for Jan.

WHat up guys. Been a long time visiting  investments forum.  Hope you guys are doing well.

Only thing I'm sitting on are June  22.50 JASO calls.  Think this baby continues higher.  Made about 500 %  so far on this baby.  Too bad I only bought a few contracts.  Wish I bought lots more.

Look at Jeff the gambler buying those options at 80 cents..stock had to be in the teens back then.

Seriously though..if oil keeps chugging they will keep running these solars. I dont see the reasoning but they are doing it..so you go with it. I dont see how high oil equates to high solars since solar energy isnt used in replacement of oil/petro products, but what do I know?

High coal and uranium is a reason for solar more than crude being at 120.

Good to see you around, you still holding PTQ?

    Wall,

I got back into HANS on friday, fyi.  $37 will be a key breakthrough if it can ride up to that.

I bought another 200 shares of CRDC at $6.95 today, just for fun.  I'll be selling all my shares above $12.

    Gunners,

CRDC is frustrating at times..they have the technology and product but from what I read they need to hop through hoops in the US before getting wide spead acceptance and usage, while outside the US it is being used more.

The company has to train physicians to use the product which also slows the growth curve..so in my mind they need to show that they are training more and taking the steps to get their product out in the market, then sales will follow.

It is a low float stock with lots of promise, but the swings are crazy..like today for example.

i'm ready to wait for a long time for CRDC to perform, so it hasn't frustrated me that much.  If I wasn't in it for the long haul, I could have made a lot of good swing trades in it.  I bought some at $6.50 and could have sold at $8.30.  Now I'd be back in at $6.95.  But i haven't sold any since i started the position.  I now have a lucky 1300 shares with a basis of $8.

I too am in CRDC long term.We shall see if it ever lives up to its promise as a stock as opposed to its success in the operating theater.

Anyone care to guess whether the Fed is done with cutting? Personally, I would like to see them end it now, but expect to see 25 more basis points cut.

I think these discount travel sites like PCLN ,expedia and travelzoo are gonna get clobbered.  Thinking of buying some puts.  Airfare is going through the roof and people will be cutting back on trips cause they are broke.

Priceline could be good..Travelzoo has already been killed.

    Amazon/Yahoo/Google also might be candidates.

    Gunners,

HANS looking good in a down day today, up a buck.

WFMI looks like an entry here..been consolidating on the low for almost two months.

Only downside is that they are carrying a ton of debt off the Wild Oats purchase..

    SUN looks like death.amazing.

I had a client who worked at a Sun refinery back in Philly, Joe is his name, hilarious guy.

I would rather wait to see if it forms a bottom first, look at a 6 month chart if you thought 60 was a triple bottom, it failed and stock is now below 50. Wait and see when it starts an uptrend.

Stock is SOLID, maybe too much debt but for the business it is reasonable.

Gunners, I should..stock looks like it is turning the corner, clean balance sheet and reasonable PE ratio for the growth, you know I like them.

I wonder if they are going to need to borrow to do that repurchase..not a HUGE fan of borrowing to buy back stock, I would rather the company grow revenues and profits than buy back stock.

I wish the options werent so expensive..the Dec 30 calls have 5 bucks of time premium in.

Tell me what makes you want to put STP into play?

I ask because I want to hear your reasoning and thinking..

If you were willing to commit capital today, what do you base it on?

Not saying it is right I just want to see your thought process.

I think it is at a good price right now.  Only thing that scares me is that Solar got hit hard today.  However, I guess I would rather wait a day or two to see what happens with these solar stocks before making a play.  STP from my charts looks like it is at an okay place to make a play for an upswing possibly, but the drop in solar today makes me hesitant.

I really like STP..its a decent play, but of course all solars are probably 60-70% overpriced longer term, but longer term can last for 5 yrs before they get  brought to reality.

This might be a good opportunity to test your skills in buying and using stops.

If you bought the stock thinking today was a good price you SHOULD pick a spot to sell stop if the price goes lower.

You also might consider buying in pieces, so you have 2k to work with right? you might be buying 50 shares in total, but you could divide it into two 25 share buys and see if it goes lower, if not you are in and have some.

Who do you have the account with, and is it 2k which you are working with?

I really wish I could find a stock around $11-15 range.  I don't really want to put the whole 5K in STP.
