I think the Us.Yen wont participate when/if the market breaks..it seems when the markets drop that the Yen is stronger than the USD, so even though both go up, the Yen going up surpasses the USD.

They took the US.Yen down fast off the top but right back up near the highs.

I love days like this....news releases are so fun to trade.........$$$$$$$ everywhere

I was a bit confused for a second there..yeah they will raise the discount rate, that does not mean much since the banks are allegedly not borrowing and that rate is at a rock bottom low as it is.

I dont think it has much of an impact, nothing like when they first raise Fed funds.

It may not surge the USD but it will put a stop to the fall i think[although that really happened today]...i watched a trade with the news video this morning and they seem to think a hike here Monday would give the dollar some strength and send it back up to test resis at 82.50

The news today has sent it back to 81.4....we need to hold this level and push forward next week and ill be sitting pretty on my positions

just searching for anything i can find on the topic...last raise of the discount rate dropped EU by almost 200 pips and the DOW 119 pts....this was FEB 5th...also many traders will still be out of the market due to holiday...

Yeah they will raise the discount rate..

Not sure what effect it will have but it should give support to the USD..

So we have an expeditted meeting Monday and news sayn  US to announce the timing on their decision on naming China currency manipulators within days....thats funny havent they already been labled?

Its like sharkscope for forex so it can be used to study ones trades,habits,whatever you need also a forum on the site but i dont care about that...just be cool to have a virtual log of my account with all kinds of cool graphs and stuff....much better than writing shit down

Wall did you try MT4 and did you like it?Charts good?Ichi clouds on MT4?im still using forexpro just so use to the charts and its features i might have to open another account soon anyway if this 10:1 craps comes but i had just planned on switching to an account on the UK platform..im kinda interested in the hedge feature and id have to go with MT4 UK to do so....or go to FXCM UK

Yeah I only use MT4..thats the platform I have and will only have.

If you are looking for out of the country try out Delta..and sign up for one of those pip rebate places..they give you a rebate on round trip pips (not Delta but the place does) and Delta gives a 20% signup to boot...

Im gonna switch when/if new lev stuff goes down...

I have linked a practice account up to myfxbook.com using MT4...i will be making trades using this account that i make in my real account may not get the same price but thats ok...im bucknuts there also...i will link my real account if they ever have that option or when i switch

well i think i got everything right on my charts cuz i tried getting in the same trade gbp/usd sell but couldnt get my order associated. I tried to manually enter the trade and it never got taken so i just clicked the sell on the pair box, still getting used to the set-up. coulda got 1.527 im in @ 1.526. lets make some $$

actually i only missed a few pips looks like its was about 1.5264, 

hey buck what do you have the directional movements set up as ? i had the same trade using the d+ crossing down thru the adx but now im looking at the 4 hour chart and it looks like the cross was 3/31. mine are 14,0,0 and same for relative strength 

jumped outta the gbp trade +33 pips.
