are you really trying to suggest to me that the owners of the royals and pirates can spend as much as the new york yankees 
this is quite possibly the dumbest post i have ever seen on covers. the royals had a team revenue in 2009 of 104 million, so before you take out any expenses the yanks payroll is almost double total team revenue of the royals. the only way the royals could spend the same amount of money as the yankees would be at a 100+ million dollar loss year in and year out.
