If I had the chance to get me some bitcoins when the were at $60-100, I would buy as many as possible but, I feel really uneasy about buying into an $1100 bitcoin.

This is what happens when you have an unregulated currency.
I am surprised at the number of vendors that will accept this form of "currency" as "payment." They are gambling just as much as those individuals that bought into the currency itself.
It is difficult enough to run a business successfully. Now, those foolish enough to accept this form of payment , have to worry about the value of the currency.
I get the sense the individuals into this sort of thing are those that think the value of the dollar will be baseless some day.
