i'm still trying to figure out if this case is, or has to, go to the grand jury.  the media use such careless terminology when explaining what has been done so far and what the procedure is in maryland.  one article said mosby bypassed the grand jury, which a DA is entitled to do in many states.  however, the baltimore sun, which i think is a decent paper, said there will be a grand jury.  we'll find out sooner or later but it's hard to tell the way these stories are so poorly reported.

of course, the grand jury system is largely bullshit so i wouldn't expect this case to end with the grand jury.  the prosecutor can pretty much have the grand jury do whatever he/she wants, but i guess anything is possible. 

when i say the grand jury is bullshit so don't expect the case to end there, i'm not suggesting the case should end there.  i'm just saying, in the spirit of covers, the grand jury is almost always fixed for the prosecution. 

I disagree. People are people and there are corrupt and dishonest people in all professions. The medical profession as a higher calling is a complete myth. Talk to the many vicodin drug addicts walking the streets. They're now looking for heroin after their pill factory physicians sold them out for quick cash until the DEA shut them down. Those physicians are responsible for more young people committing suicide than any other profession. Higher calling or higher standards ? Nonsense. It's surprising that someone like Detox isn't more angry at this group than he is at the authorities that shut down the supply. On second thought, maybe not.

I think the white officers should hang because of white privilege (and all that) and the black officers should be let off due to socio-economic factors (and all that)

Are the 3 white officers on death row yet while the black officers are writing books regarding this incident? After hearing that prosecutor on Friday sounding like a politician, "this is your time" I'm convinced the city government is fits the definition of a Banana Republic.
