Cops didn't do a damn thing to that guy. He slammed his own crack head against that "bolt.". SAG under pressure from that ridiculous mayor is charging homicide to keep the community under control.

    Not guilty -160

you say that with such confidence. None of obviously know. I heard on some news channel (not sure which though) that it is fairly common knowledge that it is pretty common practice for the Baltimore cops to pull those driving stunts after arrests.

I just did a quick google search of it. It is known in some cities as the "rough ride" or "nickle ride".

Please do not ask for links. just do a google search and dozens of articles / stories will show up.

By the way -- my point with the above post is just to say that it is not that far fetched that the story went down as originally told.

But to answer the original question i would say that they will probably will be found not guilty.

Yeah, a cop nearing retirement driving the wagon is going to jeapordize his pension and go 4 wheeling with a shackled man in the back. Whole thing is absurd.

Marylin Mosby is retarded, we all know that after listening to her press conference.. (4 months on the job), and Stephanie Rawlings is incompetent. Just throw those cops in jail and keep your jobs.

Let's be honest.  Marilyn Mosby and any political aspirations she may have were on the line here.  I'm not saying she is right or wrong but not filing charges was not an option for her.  Not sure where I would set the odds but I would be surprised if we didn't see any convictions at all.

They had to do it. But from my perspective it's all for politics and stupid. If this goes to trial I think the city will burn when they jury won't convict, which seems a simple conclusion, they should have just handled it now instead of kicking it down the road to deal with in a year or so.

    Well-
Listening to the press conference- it seems that at the very least- protocol was not followed (not restraining the man while handcuffed)-
Also- a map showing the various stops was circuitous- not sure if that is typical-
Also- each officer had several charges, which I would think was done to give wiggle room to the prosecutor-

I accept the facts that the prosecutor presented as true- in which case, Mr Gray was not transported appropriately (according to her description of protocol)

His requests for medical attention that were not granted will be the key IMO-

To me it's a question of malice vs incompetence-not to mention, she made the point that he was arrested without probable cause-

I predict all 6 will be convicted of something- the wrangling will be in the particular charge vs each-

    Of course he does.

This is all a game to the bigots on this site, who both you and I are more than familiar with.

Severed spine? Let's set a line on conviction. One big betting party over a kid who died and the cops who were just brought up on murder charges because of it.

He even call's it 'Freddie's Death' in the title like he's referring to "Freddie's deli" or "Freddie's car".

It's all treated lightheartedly and given a hand wave.

Of course, all these posters are homogeneous.

Like the cops, they just disregard a black life, severed spine or otherwise.

"Who cares? Kid was gonna amount to nothing anyway!"

This is their general attitude towards black males now until the day they die and why there will always be a severe racial divide in this country.

\I'd advise one thing: let 99% of the posters in this forum and their attitudes be the antithesis of what you may ever think or become.

They are insufferable human beings (and I use those last two words lightly).

Well his first 25 years of life mounted to nothing productive, I'm guessing his next 50 years wouldn't have either.

    Scal,

Why do you think those attitudes are there in the first place?  Is it because of all the positive young black male role models?  Is it because there are more black males in prisons than colleges or careers?

This is America.  Some people might have advantages over others, but not like other countries in the world.  If you're born poor in America you can get whatever you want.  The only person holding you back would be yourself and the cycle of poverty you grew up in.  I would prefer poor black males succeed, less tax burden for me and better economy.

Not sure if false imprisonment can be added to the list of charges.

The police have the right to detain someone if they have probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed or based on specific and articulate facts and interferences that the person has been engaged , or is about to be engaged in criminal activity.

Press conference from Mosby was ghetto gangster language. All of it is disgusting. 6 cops conspired to toss, tumble and kill this nobody junky that was hog tied? He was tied at the ankels for a reason, and that's extreme resistance to police officers.

Get the white man Baltimore, you have the politics to do it racists.
