Cant think of one of your posts that doesn't have a negative context to it.

And if that really is your wife, you have better things to be doing than wasting as much time preaching about how sucky the Rockies/Broncos/Avalanche/Rams/Buffs and Nuggets are as you do.

If I were you, I'd take that lady to Vail or Breck for the weekend and not watch one second of sports. Too many great things to do in the Mile High instead of being on the wrong side of so many picks and then coming on to Covers and whining.

    Crash,

As with all such threads, you have to read through a bunch of crap (although sometimes humorous) replies to get to any of useful substance. In this particular thread, focus on replies #4 and #20. Therein lies the answers you seek.

Also, a few days after originally penning this thread you wrote that the "storm has passed".
If you are truly thisclose to divorce, and just like that things are somehow good again, you may want to rethink your approach to this entire process ... and a 'process' it was it truly should be.
Having a few good, or bad, days never changes the inevitable. It is a process which should be played out calmly, and honestly.

If both parties want a marriage to work (assuming they are both reasonable and rational) then it will work.
Amazingly enough, all that is required is that both people have the ability to listen empathetically to the other.

    Good luck

Yes, the kids will live, but divorce is always tough on them. Kids without both parents present have a tendency to be screwed up in various ways. Just what I have noticed.

I dunno how people can be successful at gambling while juggling a full time job, having a wife, and having kids. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

When I was gambling I was pretty good, but it took a lot of time to do so, and it took a lot out of me. Having to keep track of results for every team in multiple sports and having to bet every day. I'm not married or have children, but just gambling and work for a few years was enough to burn me out.

If you want to succeed at being a good husband and a good father you're probably gonna have to give up gambling and dedicate that time to them.

I know there are plenty of people that would say yeah I bet, but I have plenty of time for everything. More power to you, but in my experience you're gonna get warn out, and probably can't sustain doing anything at a top level for too long.

When I was betting heavily, I did enough to not get fired, but my work was definitely suffering. After I quit gambling, I was able to start putting in a full, non-distracted effort at work, and it was noticed by my management.

It hasn't really gotten me anywhere career wise, but it gives me satisfaction knowing I'm doing a good job.

If you can't give it up altogether, just stick to NFL betting and keep the bets small. Personally, I can get a feel for NFL without doing too much research. It's also generally accepted that Sundays are lounge around kinda days.

If you quit betting altogether, you'll find it boring to watch a lot of sports, which is a good thing. I barely watch sports these days with the exception of the home NFL team, and a good matchup.

I don't even watch SNF or MNF that much anymore.

Good luck, I hope you can make it work until the kids are grown up at least.

No lack of opinions on this subject lol... count me in

My answer is simple.  You know it is time to get married when you know it.  If feels awesome, and you cannot wait to come home to her, or for your next meeting.

Same goes for the reverse.  You know it when you know it.  You cringe at the thought of coming home, or her coming home.  Your life sucks and you know it.

I say have a sit down with her and simply put all the cards on the table.  If she follows suit and lays her cards on the table, you know you have two people that have an interest in being honest and reasonable.  If she does not follow suit, you have a different answer.

But buying the cheaper option is rarely the correct choice with all things considered.  If you think that using a spreadsheet to calculate how your financial well being will be best served, get used to being miserable.
