What's the worst injury you've ever suffered?

Three broken ribs, bruised spleen, and got knocked the fukk out in a car accident. The ribs were definitely the most painful, but the accumulation of concussions in a three year period of my life was by far the most detrimental.

I have severely sprained and torn ligaments in each ankle multiple times

Along with being pretty painful when it happens, the weeks of swelling, pressure, and pain are not fun.

I feel like my body has learned a new reflex because I haven't injured an ankle in quite awhile.  Now every time an ankle is about to turn that leg snaps up before I realize what happened.

hand fracture, bone separated in two.... Result: 2 metal plates and 8 screws

Had the Kevin Ware broken leg incident my first time ice skating last winter. I was 25 years old laying there with a broken leg in the middle of the ice rink on Teen Night surrounded by little kids skating around me until the ambulance came 45 min later...Absolutely brutal

 Sorry to laugh but that's brutal.

45 minutes until the poor dude can get some help.

.........Intense stories in here. One that might exceed or at least rival the thread is a kidney stone. If not for modern medicine I guarantee you will beg for a bullet. Demand a Toradol injection once you arrive in the ER, morphine won't touch it.

broken arm playing football 4th grade....   pain  6/10

exploded pitching elbow 2nd yr in college during a nightime snowball fight  1987......  pain  5/10

right leg snapped through from a forklift without brakes pinning me against a sliding door 1988   pain...7/10

re-broke same leg with a rod in it when a drunk prrick at party knocked me down while on crutches  1989  pain 4/10           waking up after they had to rebend the steel rod in my leg to pull it out...  pain  9/10

re broke fd up elbow lifting weights 1992 or 93  pain 4/10

broken collar bone and 2 broken ribs 4 wheeler accident 7 hours from nearest town by boat...   fn friend of mine thought he was funny and jumped on my stomach and pretended he was a doctor and started pumping my chest CPR style   2004  pain.. collarbone 2/10.....    ribs 9/10

no reported injuries of since

I know the feeling...... I've blown up both ankles numerous times. My 1st few steps every morning look like I'm walking on a bed of hot coals (it's hell getting old).

I know!  It's like your body has learned how to avoid that injury again

I was in the ER from 11 to 5 am with one of these fkr's..  I swear to God as I was writhing in pain,, i was thinking,,,   "You know I just read about this in a thread on Covers,, I can't believe this sh"t is happening.
PAINFULL!!!!!!   I honestly thought my appendix or pancreas had blown up...  morphine would't even make it go away.

I've had TWO attacks... Kidney Stones are painful as all He11.

The second one happened during a car ride back from Foxwoods Casino in CT.  I was driving back all alone and had to practically stand up and drive to somewhat alleviate the pain.  Called 911 as soon as I got home.

The poor ER Nurse, I blasted her so badly she was crying.  I needed something to stop the pain.  The ER Doc recognized my agony immediately and finally told her to give me a shot of morphine.

Nasty nasty nasty shiit those kidney stones because you have to wait and pizz them out.  They are no bigger than a grain of sand but they can cause an elephant of pain.

That's funny but not funny at the same time....    My nurse Ratchet made the comment to someone in the ER  "It's a good thing men dont have to give birth huh?   tee hee hee"       I swear all i could hope for is if she would just bend 4 inches closer to me as i was laying down then i could easily crush her windpipe.

That stupid girl nurse needs to find another line of work or find some poor guy who will take her man hating abuse

Both lungs filled with pneumonia, and nice bacterial stuff growing on outside of lung. Makes you barely breathe.

So, is that why they call you IceMan? Constantly in need of bags of ice?
