What is your casino game?

I am looking at taking up a new game next time I spend some time at the casinos...

Historically I play blackjack with a really simple progressive betting system...I do not count cards, nor do I have any rainman like delusions that I can... But do you guys count cards?

I also like spanish 21 or black jack with lose rules...

I also play PaiGow for a change of pace because it is slower then black jack and good change up in rhythm if I get kill playing BJ...

But what else you guys like to play...

When I go with the girl and friends to drink and have a good time I mostly play roulette and black jack.

 

If i know I am going to try to make some cash, I set a whole day aside, go nice and early and play hold'em all day.Rarely drink when I do this. One of the best times to go is during NFL season. most poker rooms have sunday ticket. its a lot easier to be patient when you can watch every football game while you play.

I started playing seriously about 5 years ago, and I have turned a profit the last 4 years. Plus the comps are fantastic.

I play the same game all the time - double double bonus poker. I make sure I find the machines with the best odds for the lower hands (the larger hands all pay the same amount). I prefer this game because even if I don't hit the royal flush jackpot of $4,000
I can still have a winning session by hitting the smaller four of a kinds with the higher payouts. You need a big enough bankroll to cover your session, and you need to learn perfect strategy. (at leat near perfect) The return can be over 100% if done correctly, and like I said earlier the comps add a lot of value as well.

Baccarat its your only hope in winning.  Dont play every hand just wait for a good spot and bet it. 

Blackjack gives you the best odds (least chance of losing) at the casino, so you better get good at it.

You don't have to be RainMan to increase you odds at the table. Counting every card, dividing the remaining by the number of decks, etc., will drive you crazy. Some people can do this, I cannot. Also, even if you do count every card, you can't get caught doing it, which is another hurdle.

I use a system that counts only the smaller cards. I only play double deck (lots of places only pay out 6-5 on bj, which you should never play). The reason I play doubles is they'll at least deal out one deck. Lots of single deck places shuffle up after dealing out half the deck!

Make sure you are ready to play. Don't go play after watching games in the sports book and had 12 complimentary beers. There's a reason they give them to you. Play sober. Play alert. I pop a 5-hour energy before sitting down.

If you're with a group of people that includes the ladies, sit down at a roulette table, play small, and you should be able to last as long as the women want. They'll occasionally win, think they're a better gambler than you, and may be more "appreciative" later on in the night

do you have a strategy, or is that just silly in a game that is so fair that they have to have a juice/vig...

I think paigow is marketed wrong because of the asian spin...

i was sitting at a table once with a guy who started playing paigow and his girlfriend/wife/companion was a little loud and liquored and started insisting that he would lose which pissed him off..

She said something to the effect that only Asians win at paigow because it is cursed for everyone else... She said it was a conspiracy and the reason why asians are rich and drive nice cars...

The problem was there was two asian guys at the table... not sure if they spoke english, but I figured they were used to this world view...

The guy increased his bets and won about $500 and walked away when he girl came back to the table he turned to her and asked "how much did you lose on your machines?"
