What is your average wager?

Most websites I have seen advocate using 5% of your bankroll as a guideline for a base wager in regards to money management. Also do you find yourself betting favorites or underdogs more? Thanks for any information you can share.

Can't wait to hear some of the liars this thread is going to bring out of the woodwork. 

5% in right on the mark.  I surely don't wager like I used to 5-10 years ago.  Now usually $30 up to $150 a game and plus money Dogs or very small juice Favs. 

Got drunk and pissed off a couple weeks back and did a stupid thing by betting $2K on a big baseball chalk, got lucky and won.  Very stupid thing to do because discipline is EVERYTHING.

i bet anywhere from 50-500 a game but i would say my average bet is 150-200.  i find myself usually playing dogs.

1 unit is $10.00 I start ncaafb and nfl every year with a $1000.00 bank, going on my 32nd yr with this program.

Over all 32 yrs down about $13,000.00  depends on weather u ask me or the Mrs.  have had some high highs and very low lows......

Best yr $8,000.00

Worst $5,000.00  yeah yeah   $1,000.00 bank every season well im a gambler.........it's what i do

im a big advocate for bigger more percise bets so i usually bet around 40% bank roll which would be a bet around $500

15 to 20 bucks usually just to make it fun....lost $50 at the horse track last night though

$20-$200. Usually to win $50-$80. So if Im up anything over $75 ill just lower my amounts or stop. 75 bucks a week nice for a broke college student

usually bet $50-$500. biggest bet i've done online was $1000. Biggest Bet i won was a NFL Pools few year 21grand..

25 dollars per unit. 5 units is my max bet.

i am not a pro. i'm not a dummy, but i'm no pro. and i accept that.

avg wager depends on the sport, but i do hold consistent with a one unit wager no matter the sport (for the most part anyways/90%)...i don't try and worry about having too many favs or dogs on my card, i bet what i find/see

MLB - unit $25

NFL - unit $50

 

I started the MLB Season @ 1U & 2U @ $25 per unit... and never changed it.


This year I started off in the NFL with $50 per unit.

 

Average Unit is $50.


Wager anywhere from $50-$200 a play.

 

I like action.  Lots of action.  I'm a person.

I usually bet 5-10 units on Slovenia womens 3rd league handball, and for NFL I turn it up to about 10-20 units.

Those are my 2 main sports
