Trump's 25% new tariffs are following a 14.5% tariff on Canadian lumber alreadly imposed by the U.S. - bringing up tariffs on Canadian lumber to 39.5%

According to the National Association of Home Builders, Trump's tariffs are projected to raise the costs that go into building single-family homes by $7,500 to $10,000.

Hatred for Biden ?  Well, yeah,  for starters, he didn't protect this country ,  and willingly allowed millions of illegal aliens to cross our border.   So, no, not only was he a bad president,  but should be hanged for willful negligence that led to the deaths of Americans.
