Why on earth should they “cover” for me ? They don’t control or condone everything I write before posting ! I for one find it more interesting to read about Kimmel versus Trump numbers - than you posting lies you heard about China or you debating yourself what makes something a “movement” and what makes it an “organisation” - when you could just read a book for once if it is such a hard concept for you to fathom - rather than displaying your ignorance and stupidity for the world to see

Don't mention the frogs - we don't want to scare the toddler - we want him to sleep

    @Calde13

Perhaps you should've just  let the little girls that are FUBAR,  Kellly, and Zeus try and protect you... because you didn't address my response.

We were talking... rather you were trying to make a foolish point,  about China's green energy policy ...    Which is comical if you actually did any research on the topic.  an_light

China is the country that has invested the most in renewable energy of all countries in the world - and they are at the forefront (with no close runner up) in solar energy - it is funny you think you would know better than me - Denmark is one of the largest exporters of wind turbines in the world at least in comparison to our size

@Rush51 "debt due to tax cuts or overspending?"

Both tax cuts and overspending increase budget deficits and debt.  But history of countries show that increasing tax revenue is more effective in reducing deficits than spending cuts.  Economic policy institute favors no extension of income tax cuts.  Center for budget and priorities found that Trump tax cuts didn't boost US economy.

I rarely even mention Denmark in here ! Because you can’t compare Denmark and US - we surpass you in every single metric - you compare shit countries with other shit countries - that is why I use African and South American countries as my examples in here - If I wanted to compare Denmark with anything I would have to choose from the top S tier Asian countries or the other Scandinavian ones - to even pretend anyone else comes close to us - would be the biggest joke ever

So how about we skip the personal insults for once and just stick to discussing topics. I wonder why I draw conclusions on who makes the personal insults and who does not.

Do you see a personal insult somewhere or untrue facts being stated? Because if you are talking to me, name one thing that was not a known fact on this site or that was actually personal?

If you are going to say that calde does not trash America on this site on the daily then you would be flat out lying.

If you are going to say that calde does not brag and boast about Denmark being the greatest country in the world on this site then that would also be a lie.

Unless you have been to Denmark, then you cannot begin to understand how good their pastries are....they are d'lish.

Tell me where any of what I said, if you are referring to me, was an inaccurate statement?

Conversely, I am an American, living in America, so to see someone who does not reside in this country talk trash about it on a daily basis could be viewed in the same manner in which you are claiming are personal insults, if that's the case. Pointing out that one does this is not breaking the rules, it is not falsely representing facts nor is it a direct insult if he indeed is doing the very things I stated. And the pastry comment was not a dig. I have been to Denmark, so that was a compliment.an_popcorn

But why do you take it as a personal assault ? I don’t know you at all - so you, your family or your friends are not part of my equations or what I am saying - I am talking about how you are being treated, how much money is set aside to better your life etc. by your country/government - if anything you should be happy that I burst your bubble that they want you to believe US is anything special

I don’t take personal pride in you liking our pastaries that actually originate from Vienna (Austria) but I am glad you did - as I wouldn’t take personal harm in you saying you think we suck ! That we are better than you in every single metric that measure how the population is treated etc - is just facts - not meant as a diss

Don't mention the frogs - we don't want to scare the toddler - we want him to sleep

China has 44 of the top 100 worlds most polluted cities, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-polluted_cities_by_particulate_matter_concentration

They have 1195 coal fired power plants and building more because they mine most of their own coal. Since year 2000 their yearly carbon dioxide emissions have risen 70%.

Ohhh, but look!! They have solar panels and promise to reduce emissions by 7-10% by year 2035. They're sooooo green! an_eek2

They don’t just have solar panels - they have a HELL of a lot of solar panels !!! In 2024 alone they invested 625 billion USD in green energy investing and installed solar and wind panels that can generate 293 gigawatts with reports projecting 10.000 gigawatts within 20 years or less ! can your brain even comprehend how much energy that is ?

Does China do it for the betterment of the planet ? No !

They do it because Europe (and other important actors) prioritise it a lot - because the world is soon going to miss resources and because China wants to lead the world !

China is you just smart - which you can also see with all this rare earth stuff - they are playing 4d-chess making moves 20 years out - where you guys constantly piss your pants to keep the heat for a year

I don’t have 2025 numbers but they are set to be even bigger ! The first time Trump went on his tantrum - where he basically told you that you would search and dig for oil - Xi went out publicly and made an even bigger commitment of wanting to become “green” - you really don’t get this ! This has nothing to do with pollution - it is what policies you project on to the future regarding energy shortage ! And all countries in the world apart from you got the memo what state planet earth is in and are moving in a more green direction - so of course the leader of the future world and the country that will receive all the funding and investments is the one that goes most green

Do you realize that Trump tried to stop one of the biggest wind turbine projects in your history because it once "ruined" his view while he was playing golf? And because oil producing countries pay him under the table to expand on oil exploration, not really something that benefit you as an American citizen, oil is a resource that will be extinct in 20 years or less if we continue at this rate. Instead of trying to improve your future, he is trying to solve the problem with oil exploration because that is what benefits him personally the most right now.
If you're wondering how I know about the wind turbine project, it's because you bought the turbines from Denmark. Luckily, a court ruled against Trump, so you didn't have to pay for nothing. You can't stop a project of that size so late in the process. That isn't how the world works.

As an added bonus, by electing Trump, you have also pushed away your richest friend, the EU (we're only sticking around until we can take care of Russia ourselves—we won't pay the bill when China or your other creditors come to collect). So, when the time comes to pay the bill, no one will help you. Soon, you will have to pay most of the military bill alone. Good luck with that, especially since you've already spent a lot on the military.

Funny, because I recall that the building of the wall in the US was halted because another administration claimed it was a waste of money and not a serious policy solution. In which, that administration also terminated the national emergency declaration that was in place. That project was halted after it had already started, so well late in the game. The wall was diverting funds from military to build, which in turn could help protect America.

What is odd, is that there is a serious situation occurring now and instead of realizing it was the start of trying something versus sitting by and doing nothing, the project was completely halted. it has now since resumed, but this is part of a major problem with how our system is set up. Something gets started only for another administration to come in and slay it. This is why anyone who get their undies in a wad over a current administration and their policies is comical because if you just wait it out there is a high likelihood that it is halted in the next administration(s). In this case with the wall, instead of trying something to fix a well known problem, most would rather continuing as business as usual. Makes no sense.
