i just got this 32 years old and it came out of nowhere....anyone have this and how do you deal with it....doctor gave me pills 25 mg of meclizine they work ok but still get the dizzy spells any help would be fucking great

My ex wife gets this all the time. Nothing has cured it for her. She has taken a lot of meds, but nothing seems to work. I think it has to do more with the weather than anything else. She always gets it in the winter. I know it really sucks and is a terrible feeling. GL

The Antivert tabs you were prescribed are just bandaids for your situation. If the dizziness persists, request a referral to an ENT for a complete inner ear assessment. Inner ear infections can cause disturbances in equilibrium as well as barometric pressure changes. It's recommended that you have a thorough exam to rule out any crystal formation in the eustachian tubes. This problem occurs in people who have Meniere's syndrome. It seems possible that you may have an inner ear infection that usually results from trapped fluid that isn't able to drain properly into the throat.

But I also know of others w/ meniers who had to have surgery to try and fix the shit....My twin bro still gets it and he takes meclizine or diazepam to help his shit out when it occurs....I'm no MD, but I think the valium helped him out more, and if it's that persistent you probably should look into some surgery.....Hope you get better because it is unbearable

I had it years ago.. still have some residual ringing in the ear .. go to an ENT who can perform a balance test .. I got adjusted by the ENT's assistant and felt much better..

I had vertigo pretty bad from an inner ear infection a few years ago. The strange thing about the inner ear infection is that there really are no signs of having a regular infection. Went to the EN&T doctor and he gave me antivert to take.
I had it for about a month, it was so bad that I couldn't eat because I was so nausiated. I had lost about 20 pounds.

i had the same problem 10+ years ago. really sucks. it was very debilitating. couldn't drive, eat, walk. difficulty working and concentrating. was prescribed various drugs (i think meclizine was one) but didn't really help much. did have to see several doctors who ran a battery of tests to rule out blockages, tumors, etc. everything was inconclusive so they diagnosed it as a mild case of menieres disease. which i think was just because they had to say something. well whatever it was, it got better over time and went away as mysteriously as it came on. it'll pass. in the meantime tell the doc to prescribe some xanax to calm your nerves.
