time is the key factor in evolution - in the millions of generations - species with favorable traits survive and pass on favorable traits to offspring - little by little - year and year after year after year. Just wrap your mind around the tiny amont of time the person sapien has ruled the earth. Evolution is a FACT. Does is apply to humans ? - yes most likely because it is evident in many other species as seen in the fossil record that can be age dated by the tests of regularly decaying radioactive minerals in rocks that hold the fossils. Yes children the earth is 3.5 billion years old. And the Dinosaurs ruled the earth 65 million years ago. So time is the key to allow for tiny changes over and over again to get to our present state. No need for unproven or unprovable ideas like ID. In life the simpliest explanation is usually correct. Here too.

Life is extremely complicated. There is no proof that mankind evolved from anything, and even if he did, how do we know that GOD was not behind the evolution of speices. The evolution of man is a MIRACLE in itself, but the evolution of thousands of speices in a random fashion is simply impossible.

God is REAL. Make no mistake about that FACT.

Most of the great thinkers and scientists of history believed in creation.

mutations are random. each mutation creates an individual with or without specific qualities and skills. many mutations have negative effects on the individual (think genetic diseases), and prevent the human from reproducing. the people/organisms with good mutations are able to procreate more successfully and eventually the whole population contains the gene for a 'good' mutation.

just because you cannot comprehend the complexity of the situation does not make it impossible.

the thing about science is that it allows itself to be wrong. when confronted with new evidence, one is able to amend their beliefs in a rational manner.

why does god allow little babies to die? do you really believe god has a plan for everybody and that was his plan for said child? is your response going to be 'god works in mysterious ways'?

God- in all his forms,? from Santa to the adult version doesn't exist anywhere in reality or beyond, aside from IN our own minds. I would go so far as to say that Jesus Christ- at least the one as described by in the Gospels, never existed as a part of history. There was a lot of allegorical and symbolic literature back then- fiction. The story of Jesus is neither original nor could it hold up in an unbiased investigation.

Religion is bullshit.

The how the f did the planet get here??

Also, to me if you can't explain how the earth or the galaxies got here then how does anything else make sense?? It's like opening a book and only reading chapter 10 through 20!! How can you draw a conclusion to the story without the basis or foundation being laid out first? Even if you don't believe in Jesus, you have to at least believe in a creator!!

we are only aware of chapters 10-20. if it makes the book more interesting to make up chapters one through nine, go right ahead. but it is still just a story you made up. nobody knows.

our evolution in science has started a large scale movement away from religion.....religion is big business.....one of the biggest money makers in any economy....does anyone think our economy can survive the fruads of religion being exposed to even a greater degree than they have in the past twenty years.....i fear religous people the most in society for what they could do to an economy and for what they do to society mentally.....

God = Energy...

Before we used scientific methods to explain the world around us, we used religion. No one had any idea that we were made up of smaller particles which then were made up of even smaller particles, it was too much to fathom in the early generations.

Now that we can observe, test, and recreate energy in labs; we can disprove God.

When the bible says God created us, we are created by and through energy. When the bible says God is in all of us, energy is in fact what it is talking about.

It was simply too complicated for our early ancestors to understand, so they made sense the best way they could. Nonetheless, eventually, everything we hold as fact today will be disproven or built upon. Knowledge is not concrete, it is ever changing. Religion needs to follow science's attitude and accept when it is wrong instead of just elongating the lie.
