You are only suppose to have about 750 mg of salt a meal if you are having three meals a day.

My doctor told me 2,000 mg's a day would be fantastic, by the way. I would bet you 80- 90% of the population averages 3,500 to 4,000 mg's per day. Thanksgiving dinner might be 4,000-5,000 alone. With all the fast food and that, it just blows your mind.
In the grand scheme of things, this isn't a high sodium recipe IMO.
I buy low sodium ALL the time. I also cook with NO sodium stock.
It's just a matter of being sensible like everything else.
You can also make your own low sodium Italian dressing if you want. There are loads of recipes out there.

I don't disagree with a lot you say Mr ApacheM so I guess you've just got better farm trout over there than we have here.

Tried this last night. 5 oz. of fish and only 2 Tablespoons of Italian dressing. That was more than enough. I would classify it as good....don't think I could go with great. But it's something I will eat again for sure. SUPER easy. And only 350 mg of salt (plus whatever was in the fish).
